Brian Polian being interviewed right now on the SVP radio show on ESPN
They are if they're actively involved in the cover-up of a fake dead girl. I'm not saying they ARE, I'm saying that's what they're accused of.
Besides, that's kind of like saying "Penn State isn't responsible for the relationships of their coaches."

Just a toss up and not sure if it's been discussed or not...but I just heard some people talking on the radio that if in fact this is a cruel hoax and Manti was a victim then he can go ofter them with a civil suit. Not sure if it would hold up, but at this point I'd love for this dirtbag(s) to have see some kind of repercussion for this.
I agree with you and I don't need to read the Swarbrick transcript, as I watched it last night live. I believe Swarbrick. I believe Manti. But the poster I was responding to seemed to be shocked that the media would be swarming to campus as if the University had nothing to do with it anymore whatsoever.
so you're not saying they're covering it up, but you are saying they covered it up. the only way your point about the school being responsible is based entirely upon the assumption that the school actively covered it up. that's the only possible connection to the sandusky situation.

I hesitated before saying that, but he's easily the most famous athlete ND has produced in the last 20 years, and given the rise of social media and the 24-hour news cycle, I'm comfortable saying he's the most famous as well.
That means "sexually violent person" in my line of work.
Scott Van Pelt?
Im sitting here taking this all in and I'm starting to think, Was it necessary for Jack to speak first? If this was all just Manti getting tricked by some sick people, did ND really need to come out and speak first?
This point is making me still alittle nervous. Why did Jack have to come do damage control first?
[Manti Te'o, Notre Dame football star: hoaxed or hoaxster? - YouTubeThere's another one over at lob shots with BK's face and a whole bunch of references in there. Also, a poster of Weekend at Lennay's with BK and Te'o holding up Bernie. Terrible, but hysterical.
i think the media on campus is weird. they're only trying to get students and players to dish some dirt. any information defending te'o will be ignored. anyone with a blind opinion that's negative will make the front page. the media should be in florida to talk to manti or in california to talk to these twitter people. i'd be shocked if ND let's reporters on to campus for reports, which may be happening.
*sigh*
No, I do not believe they covered it up. BUT I have not seen PROOF that they didn't cover it up. I believe Swarbrick but I can't corroborate anything he said. My job is to base my opinion on what I see. I don't have to be 100% accurate. But the media is within their role and their rights to unturn every stone, and many of those stones are in South Bend.
The more that comes out, the more relieved I am.
It's still crazy to think he was duped to this extent though, and even if he is exonerated, there will still be a substantial portion of people who refuse to believe it; but it is what it is.
At first I was hesitant to think all the facts could be exposed and adequately evaluated, but it's starting to look better.
Then hire a private investigator and get your own ****ing proof and stop the McCarthy smear!
"The media" isn't one group that has to all be together at once. My best guess is there IS media in Florida and there IS media in California, in addition to whoever's on campus. Each venue is appropriate as they continue to investigate.
Like I said, I believe Manti and Swarbrick but there are still unanswered questions and the media's job is to find those answers.
Anyone catch that last tweet by the Lennay twitter feed?
The one about Alabama?Anyone catch that last tweet by the Lennay twitter feed?
Would have been cool if Lynch dated a fake chick too

NEW DEVELOPMENT - Former ND teammate tells ESPN's Bob Holtzman that many players knew Lennay Kekua wasn't really Manti Teo'o's girlfriend.
