2 hours ago there wasn't a report that he may have made up a girlfriend.

Thats my point. You guys are so quick to throw him under the bus. Before you know all the facts you are saying he is a bad person or a lyre.

This is crazy. It sounds like he got duped being a naive kid. There are still holes that need to be answered by Manti Teo.

Are the Girls at ND really that bad?

Yes. In an effort to stay true to the school's Catholic identity, the admissions department endeavors to make the appearance of the female study body itself the most potent form of birth control.

Another posted just pointed this out to me in text:

He remembered that after she died in her twitter it said "hey guys its manti, just want to thank you for all of your support."

Now, this could still be the conspirators doing this. But who knows. I haven't looked to find the tweet or anything.

****. I think I remember that as well. Hopefully I'm remembering wrong but I'm afraid I'm not.

He's a longtime poster and wouldn't be confused about seeing it. He definitely saw it, I believe him. I just couldn't find it b/c I don't know which twitter account it is.

The person behind the fake accts is a friend or relative of Teo? If so, that greatly increases the odds that Teo was in on it. I hope he wasn't. I feel bad for him either way. I've done dumb stuff in my life but thankfully I'm not in the spotlight like he is.

I probabl missed this but the best thing about this whole story is the fact that Manti came forward back in December. Well b/f the story broke. Had it broke first, this would be much harder to explain. Time will tell.

but that deosnt mean HE didnt know prior to telling ND...in other words i wonder (if we are to belive Teo that he was "hoaxed" or "duped") when did HE himself actually figure out there was no Lennay.

The theory that makes Te'o look innocent would be he made it up because he was embarrassed that he had an online GF

So just guilty of lying to his Dad to cover up his embarrassment thus explaining why Brian Te'o has his information all wrong?

This is why I am not a detective.

I find it weird that the BMOC has to date someone over the Internet.

Thats good atleast. Hopefully he distances himself from being an actor in all of this. It makes me think though, the NFL world of women, money, booze, and drugs is out of control. How is someone this innocent and naive going to survive that without getting manipulated and exploited? He better sign with a legit agent whos not a piece of ****, and also be very careful who he surrounds himself with. He's going to be a target for the worst people society has to offer, hes gotta be very careful.

Ok this is bad. It will probably get worse before it gets better but with less than a month until signing day, how does affect our recruiting class?

It wont, atleast i dont think it will. I mean come on the University and coach Kelly didnt do anything wrong

I don't think this will have any affect on the draft.
He lied, no matter if he was part of the hoax or not. Teams are going to throw every question at him during the interview process. Do you guys remember when the dolphins asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a hooker.

I'm pretty sure he got played, but he still lied to everyone about the relationship and how they met etc.

What? You're confused about who I was replying to. After she "died" Manti, or someone posing as Manti, posted a tweet from her account saying thanks for the support or something along those lines. Hopefully that wasn't really Manti. So f'ng confusing.

Either Te'o knew or not, I am extremely disappointed to be an ND fan... First time I have ever said that in my life, but it's true.

Confirmed from 2 sources: ESPN has known about the Manti Te'o story for 10 days. Had been reporting it, but could not confirm.

It's a bit more normal when the big man on campus is a Mormon who doesn't feel the need for physical contact for there to be a relationship.

Sherm, for better or worse you have the weirdest opinions on things I've ever seen.
That was not my original opinion, until i started listening to Mike Francesia who convinced me that he will fall in the draft and may not even be drafted. Damn you Mike Francesia

I don't think we know that for sure yet. Basically the big question here. I agree things look fishy but I want to hear the explanation first
