If BK were to leave I can't see JS hiring someone that doesn't have HC experience. He did a good job finding BK and I trust him to find another capable HC.

I'm exhausted.

Upset....... Never! This is just perfect

Consider the source.

PS. I think ND should fire Kelly this weekend. Bring in a moving company put his shiit in a box, and send it to his house.

I think this is a safe statement because that is what Kelly does. He thinks he is going to the Eagles. The only way he comes back to the Irish is limping. He won't even come back to South Bend if he gets the job. Watch.

I'm going stay up, get whiskey drunk, and hopefully sleep in past bad news time.

Can one of the two guys I actually know here text me if there's any good news?

I am one of those two, and fukk, I am getting drunker than you.

Touche, my friend. Touche.

Yeah, you touch e me and see what you get from my bada$$ spider-web-in-the-eye self!

How's that Tuesday evening thing going, Brother?

I completely agree with HCTI who completely agrees with Redbar here, and there. Chuck Martin is the man. He would blow your socks off and keep continuity.

Agreed. We have a program near the top and still on the rise. I'd prefer continuity of coaching and Martin provides this. He's not experienced at this level but I think he has what it takes plus seemed to be a ND guy from the start.

i just don't think he'd be even an average NFL head coach...not a good fit to the type of dudes that play in that league...complete personality clash

If he does come back, he will owe the fan base one hell of an explanation for the dead silence between the story breaking of his interview and his final decision.

If the staff is truly working overtime to keep the recruits, it makes him look more selfish than not. It wouldn't take much effort to tell them that he doing it for them and and the program. That is an easy sell. The hard sell is that he actually might leave, and hang in there.

One thing to note is that if he is putting his staff through this much effort to keep the recruits, do you think that one of them would go with him?

Coaches who cross over from college to the pros typically have bad results and end up back in the collegiate ranks. If you try to control pros like you do college players they don't respond positively.

I'm still exhausted.

Maybe BK has been in contact with the coaches in regards to the recruits.

What has happened in the last four hours?

Lets see:

1. Rack em made a great photoshop
2. Johnny and HCTI had a mullet fight
3. OMM ruined the thread by posting a well thought out, insightful post after we had 7 straight pages of solid crap going
4. Steelhead drank way too much

About it really......

(Same as the last 4 hours. And the 4 hours before that; and the 4 hours before that.)x4

Everyone has just made up their own theories as to what is going on...

Fortunately, its surprisingly interesting...

2 noteworthy tidbits from II
- Sounds like Martin would get the HC nod if BK leaves. IF HE LEAVES.
- Sampson said a few of the staff members are on edge. (And rightfully so).

At least we're calm and handling this well here.

How does this stuff work? When a coach goes to a new school does he bring his staff with him? The staff he has now, were they with him at cincy?
