THIS IS WHY YOU OVERRECRUIT LIKE ALABAMA

Basically the same situation as last year with our CBs. We are now incredibly thing at ILB. Why? Because we didn't sign Joe Bolden last year because we were "filling up" and didn't sign any other ILBs in this class because Anzalone got upset at us even recruiting Isaac Sav.

Now over the last two classes we just have one 3 ILB.... that's completely unacceptable. And it's going to probably come back to haunt us in the long run. SMH.

Also, it should be noted that Anzalone stated emphatically weeks ago that coaching changes would have no effect on him. In fact when asked he said "excuse me, but, HELL no." Some teams get it, we don't yet, and I wonder when we will learn. We put way too much trust in a kid sticking to his "word."

Which is more than just a young person being confused... I understand not bashing these recruits, but let's be realistic, some have more integrity and maturity than others in the process. That's just reality.

You can say what you want about AA but as most remember, he was committed to Ohio State until the paedophile situation arose. Yes he did commit to the Irish but has strong interest to Florida this whole time. Kelly/Diaco was able to swing him back and I feel he was coming. It seems to me that trust means a lot to this teenager and the NFL thing flipped him again. Kelly can do what he wants but this was NOT handled appropriately. Fine if Kelly interviews with the NFL but to then leave the country just b/f EE time? Leaving all of this in the air to simmer? I can't understand this at all.

EXACTLY! 9 out of 10 might be good dudes with some maturity. But the 1 out of 10 that is a total headcase or has insane parents is what will do you in.

1. An extension should have been finalized weeks ago during the 44 days we weren't playing...then we would have known Kelly's true interest in the NFL
2. Until I hear otherwise i believe AA was going to ND until he heard this

last of all to all the guest trolls out there laughing at us in one of our weakest hours know this:

ND will survive and flourish and this is just a small bump in the road.

There's a podcast out with Swarbrick that was done last night or this morning. No mention of Kelly

In the interview he mentions there are 6 EE's scheduled to enroll this semester, obviously the AA news had not reached him or the de-commitment had not occurred.
