I am not BFF with any one on the team, but I will talk and hang out with them on occasion. I'm just saying this players opinion was that gunner looks really good in practice and he believes he will be the starter next year. I just wanted to see if kelly or anyone else has been singing gunners praises too.

Everyone including BK knows that Gunner has all of the tools. However, no one knows if he can make adjustments, change run/pass blocking schemes at the line, and discern cowboy coverages.

Just have to trust BK on this one. Our coach knows qb's.

Yes Golson has checked the play on numerous occasions. Do you watch the games? Some of his changes have actually led to big plays.

Yeah, I think Golson checks a bit too much at times actually. There are times when he checks to a run that gets stuffed. Wouldn't mind seeing him stick with a pass and actually using his feet to make something happen rather than checking. I think BK had even mentioned at one point that they try to give Golson plays where he can't change things because he was starting to do it too much.

Keeping this short and sweet.

Imo, Gunner is a lot more upside and potential to lead this offense. I feel Everett so far this season is having a hard time seeing the 15-20 yard routes over the middle of the field. Everett prefers the boundaries too much.

With that said, Everett could always get better. But, I feel part of this has to do with his height. And, well.. He's not growing anymore.

Gunner could be as elusive as Everett, but just via a different manner. Where Everett is "slippery," I feel with Gunner's combined size, strength and speed, he could extend players in a much similar manner as Andrew Luck.

Gunner would be able to break arm tackles, roll out, and bring the ball down and pick up ten yard gains.

If you do pros and cons (assuming they both can reach their full potential) I feel Gunner would have the more Pros.

Again, my two cents.

I think the problem is less the question and more the presentation of the answer. The implication there is that there might be, or should be, an issue. At least that is the way I read it, especially considering Hamilton's track record.

Welp. It's officially the offseason.

I'm hoping that Kelly lets Gunner compete for the job.. I don't see Everett losing out, but man good competition is gonna make our team so much better!

My thoughts exactly. Golson has improved a lot and will be hard to beat. If Gunner is special, I don't think BK would hesitate starting him or making him a 1B. I'm not a big fan of the 2xQB system, but I'd be OK with these two (assuming GK is indeed special).
