How be very nice to have him on board.
247 update has Hollins saying ND is right there with UCLA, although he's still committed to the Bruins. Sounds like we could get him if we choose.
Visiting Notre Dame in January after the Semper Fi game, not exact date is set though. He also wants to visit ASU and UCLA but he doesn't know if he will have enough time to do so. Also, he can't go to a school that his mom doesn't approve of. She hasn't been to UCLA yet.
I think if we win over his mom, we win his commitment.
Deciding on NSD

Landing this young man would be a huge get in my book. Really think he is going to be an impact player and rather quickly. Think he starts making a name for himself by his Soph season. I think he's that good.
I think if we push hard, we have him. From all I have heard, we already have won his mom.
Two stud LBs in this class would be very nice.
The staff should take this guy for sure. He as an extremely fast first step and like philly said, he is very athletic. You can't have too much depth on your front 7. Bring him in and let him wreck the quarterback with Jaylon and company
Think Von Miller..
That's what I'm seeing
Think Von Miller..
...So was the announcing at the very beginning of his highlight tape haha.
- HamiltonIn terms of first step edge quickness, there may not be any better in the country on the high school level than UCLA commitment Deon Hollins Jr. The 6-foot-0.5, 220-pound high school defensive end features a blazing first step to go with a terrific 3-4-yard closing burst that is nightmare for high school quarterbacks and offensive tackles. In this setting, Hollins Jr. will play standing up at outside linebacker and this is huge when looking at Hollins future on the next level. His ability to naturally drop in coverage, stay attached and/or react to the ball in the air is the area we are going to be watching closely, as well as his ability to take teaching and apply it to the field in a new position with a fast pace.
For comparisons sake:
Deon Hollins Jr: 6'2 225 4.5
Von Miller: 6'2 210 4.5
Prince Shembo: 6'2 225 4.7
Darius Fleming: 6'2 230 4.6
So I have spent zero time in this thread, so I decided to start from the beginning and ran into this bad boy. I sure hope the current LB commits meet your wishes Irish Man.
Didn't go back and look but that could have been before we had so many linebackers committed.
Not sure the specifics but I'm fairly confident that was written awhile ago.
I am very impressed with the LB corp this staff has put together. Hollins would be icing on the cake. I love this kids game. I'd take home whether we landed AQM of not.

I don't feel like we have and shot with Vanderdoes at all. My remaining 4 would be:
Folston 95%
Redfield 80%
AQM 60%
Hollins: hard to tell with him being a verbal to UCLA but I feel like if we push for him, he's Irish.
I'd live to see the class close out like this.

Get well soon i hope to see you continue posting.
