I wonder when she looks in a mirror if she realizes that's the only reason she's on TV?

So let me recap so others don't waste their time. Marginally attractive blonde says "They are lucky".

Doofus says: "SEC schedules are a gauntlet, ND has only two good wins"

The end. Seriously.

That was like stubbing your toe, yelling, grabbing your toe, feeling better, than stubbing it again.

"They won most of their games by less than 7 points". Someone please show this dim wit our front page w season results. What an embarrassment. Gottlieb struggling to pronounce "prohibited" was priceless.

This is how it works for ND haters. Even if we had blown out everyone on our schedule they'd spin the argument that it was a weak schedule not to be compared with that of a SEC schedule.

I wouldn't expect anything different. They have the angles they need to create their opinions and so do we.

Because it makes their opinion seem legitimate to themselves, they hang on our 3OT win against PITT, the game after our emotional road victory at OU and the fact that they crushed the only common opponent we have, while we "squeaked" by.

What most fail to acknowledge is that Notre Dame was dealing with growing pains all season long and still managed to come out unscathed.

They don't study our games like we do. They don't see the nature of our defense. The defense we almost solely relied upon while our offense struggled to define itself. A defense that will literally let you trickle down the field with the short pass knowing you have no chance of getting in the end-zone... Knowing that you WILL eventually make the fatal mistake and they WILL take advantage of it... Knowing that when you HAVE to run, you will fail.

We are not "there" yet. We didn't open up the season well oiled like Bama did. ND has been a work in progress and will continue to be up until and through Jan 7th. Bama has been there before, has been winning for a while and knows what they do well. When you watch them against Michigan, you see the same team that played against Georgia. That is why they don't respect us... Because they have yet to see our best and refuse to believe it will be evident on Jan 7th.

We can talk about Golson's progression and talents, Riddick's multi-dimensions, Eifert's reliability and Nix's heart until we're blue in the face, it won't change the haters mindset. They need to see what they think is the impossible and what we know is the inevitable.

I win! I am the smartest guy on this thread! I absolutely loved this video! These people were so darned funny. Keep it up! Guys, this is part of the conspiracy to bring ND football back to glory, or the CTBNDFBTG.

Certain mindless dweebs, positioned in the right place, spewing the same mindless platitudes a are reassuring fans, player and coaching staffs throughout the SEC that the are dominant and have the game in the bag, because, after all, "they play with each other."

Shhhhhh!

I dont recall many big games the Irish were favored to win in the last 40 or so years. They have gotten little credit when they did win. This year will be no different. I hope its decisive. I got into a discussion with an idiot the other day. He said no way those northern boys can come down here and play with those southern boys and win. I asked him if he knew where Tuitt and Nix were from. He said "who"? He said the only one they got is that Teo kid and he wouldnt start for Bama or Georgia or LSU. I said yeah you're right. He is from Hawaii anyway. And just ended the conversation.

Allie LaForce was Miss Ohio back in the day. She works for Fox 8 Cleveland and I believe is dating pitcher Joe Smith.

Dougie Gottlieb was last seen on the silver screen in the critically acclaimed movie, "The Hobbit"

Am I the only one who picked up on Dougie rifling through Allie's purse under the sports desk looking for plastic......errr, I mean a tissue?

I thought Gottlieb was somewhat accurate with a couple of his points. The one on the left, however...

I love when expert analysis includes something to the effect of: "Sure LSU lost twice, but they were to teams that are awesome."

I wonder if CBS keeps their security cameras focused on him when he's in the building?

Per his wikipedia page:

After signing a national letter of intent with Notre Dame, Gottlieb was their starting point guard during the 1995-1996 college basketball season, starting all but the first four games and leading the team with 154 assists (against only 70 turnovers) as well as steals and minutes played. However, Gottlieb's stint at Notre Dame would be short. During Gottlieb's freshman year, he was charged with stealing credit cards from a roommate and two others and fraudulently charging over $900 to those cards; Gottlieb has since stated that, after paying back the $900, he was allowed to say he was leaving Notre Dame, when in fact he was expelled.[1] He then transferred to Golden West College where he concentrated on academics and received an Associate of Arts in business.[2][3] Despite offers from Cincinnati, Alabama and others to transfer and sit out a season on their campus, Gottlieb chose to sit out his transfer year at Golden West College. GWC was coached by his former Tustin Coach Tom McCluskey, and Gottlieb took on the role of redshirt player/coach. He practiced with the team and traveled to road games as the assistant coach. In addition, Gottlieb was a volunteer assistant at his high school under Andy Ground. In one game at Santa Ana Valley, Ground was ejected and Gottlieb coached the team to an overtime loss. Gottlieb was perceived to be waiting on Baron Davis to choose a school, as UCLA and Georgia Tech both expressed that Gottlieb was their second choice to Davis. After Davis chose UCLA, a school in which Gottlieb's family had season tickets to for 20 years and his brother and sister were alums (sister was captain of the cheer squad), Gottlieb looked elsewhere to play college ball. His final schools were Marquette, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Utah, Oregon and Tennessee.

I thought Gottlieb was somewhat accurate with a couple of his points. The one on the left, however...

Was Gottlieb accurate when discussing ND having a softer schedule than SEC team's such as UF, SCAR, and UA? Or when he put down UGA's schedule but they were ranked only a smidgeon below ND, UA, and SCA?

Only the Gators had a tougher schedule than ND according to Sagarin BUT only ND and UF had 2 wins against Top 10 Teams, the other 3 only had one. Also keep in mind UA and UGA both had benefit of a an extra game to boost their toughness ... against an opponent that was not in a scheduled game.

ND also played all their games against Div 1A foes. None of the others did.

UF #14 Sagarin Toughest Schedule
ND #31
UA #34
SCar #35
UGA #39

USA TODAY

The apparent difference between LaForce and Gottlieb ended when they both opened their mouths. She's still a pretty face but neither one is a competent sportsjournalist.

But they played SEC top 10 teams, and they would slaughter us.

Media has been doing this all season. At this point I would be scared if they started saying we'd do something crazy and beat Alabama, let alone match up well with them. If we prove it on the field, we can gloat while everyone eats crow, and it will be beautiful.
