Stay away from the Whiskey, Bob.
That is an interesting list...can't see Franklin leaving Vandy...Riley would fit the conference. Diaco has no head coaching experience...could be tough transition, but it worked for Alvarez...so there is that.
Cowherd mentioned an Al Golden rumor. Any scuttlebutt?
“@schadjoe: Wisconsin gauged interest Al Golden according to a source, but he is not entertaining interest from the Badgers or other colleges now.”
“@schadjoe: Multiple programs have reached out to Al Golden, per source, but he is excited about youthful roster and fact UM is already moving forward”
Riley will always be in the shadow of Oregon and this could be his time to step out of it. One 10 win season since 2002. I think he would be better served in Wisconsin but as a Wisconsin fan, I think I would prefer James Franklin out of those 3.
There is this too
@dave_heller: For those who care about these kind of things, Bob Diaco interviewed for HC job Monday ... at Temple. #badgers
Why interview at Temple when he could have a bigger job in a year or two?
If Alvarez doesn't like the candidates this year, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him keep the seat warm until he finds someone he likes.
Bob Diaco of Notre Dame and Dave Clawson of Bowling Green a few possible candidates to keep in mind at Wisconsin
As stated:
Joe Schad@schadjoe
Clawson withdrew his name from consideration at Temple, so maybe that's a sign Wisky is very high on him and he is going there?
Wisconsin set to interview Oregon State's Mike Riley - CBSSports.com
Mike Riley. Al Golden. NFL coordinators.
Much as I love Diaco, it sure seems like Alvarez is hunting for a bigger fish. Fine by me.

#NotreDame DC Bob Diaco: "I really believe I have the best assistant coaching job in America. I love who I work for, I love where I work."
