You guys crack me up. I read through a few pages and many of you have an "Overall Grade" that isn't a composite of the individual grades given to each position.

I wish I had some of you as high school teachers....

Calculus - D
Lit - B
Chemistry - C
Spanish - C

Overall GPA..... 3.8

I fit that bill. To me, The primary purpose of a recruiting class os to fill needs on a roster. After that, you are trying to secure the best possible talent. So how do you rate the value of a top tier QB when you have 4 QBs on the roster, vs. 2 3 star and a 4 star CB at a position of real need. You have to balance the two.

Who would hav thought Bryant would be "next" a week or two ago?

Anyway we are up to #4 class on 247 now with Bryant (I think so as it has a 4 next to us)

Well I'm guessing the next big name will either be a 14' commit or at the all-star games! I can definitely live with that! Really hoping it ends like: Redfield, AQM, and then a huge signing day surprise(in a good way). All in all this class is tremendous and to be honest anybody else added at this point is gravy!

With how things have been trending my best guess is we get A Muhammad and M Redfield both at their respective All Star games, but I'd still like to see us get Terean Folston even with Bryant and I think he verbals before the other two.

They clearly want Folston as well... Him, AQM, and Redfeild (plus no other decommits) would make for NDs best class in a long while...

FYI, Mike Frank at ISD was told the staff would still take Folston. He also heard there are 3 spots left, 4 if the right guy wants in.

I know many have speculated as to what there is room for, so I thought I'd share what people who have contacts within the program are hearing.

I'm scared to even dream that happening. But after getting Bryant today, I might be getting bolder. If it ended like you write above, it would be the best recruiting class for ND in my memory.

couldnt have said it better myself. This is EXACTLY what I hope happens...

what is interesting is about Franks saying there are 3 spots left... I wonder if he is already counting Jamel James out?

I am curious if james jumps ship now, ever since his commitment I had him pegged as a de-commit. I also do not see any commits until the All-star games so that should be fun.

James has been as good as gone for a while now. Academic issues

Only because he hasn't made it public. He can't be a commit if he isn't going to be accepted

So are you really going to argue over semantics because you misinterpreted my original post? I was saying if Bryant's commitment will now make James come out publicly and de-commit.

Jason I was wondering the same thing. Find it strange that James has not de-committed....is there smoke here? Or is he trying to scramble....

I think he is planning visits if I remember correctly. If you wanted to be at ND, would you give up before you had to?

My guess is there is a small chance he can still get his academics together and he isn't going to say anything until he knows there is 0%.

I'm not arguing semantics. I'm saying that the issue is unrelated to Bryant. It's a transcript issue so he will decommit when he is sure that he isn't accept and when he has a place to land. It could happen at any time but it's not related to Bryant. Further, because we don't believe that he is getting in, we could essentially force him out by giving his spot away.

I didn't misunderstand your post, I think you misunderstand the situation. And I'm not sure why you have an attitude with me about this. The point of this board is to discuss things and get informed. It's not about trying to prove yourself right or wrong.

The big worry going forward has to be weapons in the passing game. We are losing Eifert and Riddick which will make our lack of difference makers on the outside a glaring weakness.

No misunderstanding of anything, I am wondering at what point will he come out publicly like Mattingly has. That is all I was saying. The only thing I was referring to Bryant about was that perhaps having another big time recruit commit at his position will give him more of a reason to finally de-commit publicly.
