ND wins the national championship. How long after until a well-known sportswriter calls it a "down year for football"? I'm gonna go with midway through the 2nd quarter when ND takes the lead for good.

You still aren't going to answer about Manziel playing scared and blowing the game against 2 of the 3 decent teams he played?

Manziel's first college game was against Florida, and he turned in decent numbers against a great defense in a three-point loss. I'd excuse that if I were you, unless you want to compare it to Te'o's magical performances against many of the teams that spanked Notre Dame the last three years- let alone during your anointed one's first collegiate game.

And not that it matters to your tainted view of the truth, but Manziel's performance against LSU didn't cost A&M that game- the kicker cost A&M that victory. Kinda like Pitt's kicker. You recollect that scenario, right?

Nice! Stay, have some eggnog and tells us more stories about how they suck! We'd love to hear them!

Haha. First off, they call Tech the "classless clowns" and "Tceh" and UT (University of Texas) TU. Yes, they act like 10 year olds making up dumb nicknames for everything. They are the only fanbase that swears Tech fans have assaulted their fans at games - which includes hurling batteries at them, assaulting elderly fans, and wrecking their team bus (yes, they really believe all 3). Like I said, every Texas college hates them. We all have a healthy rivalry, doesn't it seem odd that A&M is the only college that gets under everyone's skin? It is what they do best, act smug and innocent, then talk down every college who stands in there way. It is no surprise they are attacking Manti's losses, making it seem like he is asking for sympathy. That's what they do. You guys just got a first-hand taste of aggyism.

The day our bowl game was announced, aggy went on Minnesota's message board and made this thread. Sad.

Typical Day for a Texas Tech Fan

Jeez...first the Bama trolls came, then the A&M guys, now LSU? Madness!

No offense to fans from other teams that come here for honest discussion, posters like WreckemTech, TrojanPrincess, etc. I've got no problem admitting the accomplishments of other players if guests are willing to do the same. Ya'll are cool and welcome anytime.

I wonder how texas fans will be like in 2015?

Most of the Texas fans I've seen have been pretty good. Not as cool as the Oklahoma fans maybe, but thats hard to beat and they're still classy. As far as other fans, watch out for tOSU. They're very touchy this off season towards the Irish, understandably so. Been pickin' up a lot of negativity over on BP, more so than usual.

Remember the Pitt game. Remember that a crap team took you to overtime!!!!!

Remember the Florida and LSU games. And LA Tech... What conference are they in again? You let them score 57 points on you...

TAMU shouldn't even be ranked. I bet Kent State would take you to the woodshed on a neutral field.

TAMU is just the poor man's Texas.

It's not even worth it. All of this. Why do we allow this? This site now gets linked to other troll message boards because we allow it. Now we get flooded. We need to stop allowing threads like this.

Please mods. Or I will stop visiting this site. Just because we are having a good season for once doesn't mean we have to explain ourselves to other fans why we are fans of OUR team or player.

May just need to recruit some more mods to deal with the increased number of trolls. With many wins comes many trolls.

I would love to be a MOD. I have been here since '06. Always visit at least once a day, and love to talk to my ND brothers about Irish football. Whether you be Alum or T-shirt fans. ;) I don't wanna have to explain to trolls why I support my team on my own board. Let them talk ish on their board. WHO CARES?! It's the internet. Let us have our own fun.

I would give Mantey Tim some credit if he hadn't just stood around and been ran into 5 times. Oh, that's right, those were "tackles" and none of them for a loss. And, he was standing back and Standford scored the winning TD, but some catholic ref called that back. ND is a joke of a program. The play a crap schedule and couldn't even put up a strong defeat of the nobodys. It MT wins the heisman, he'll be the first football player with a **** to win it.

classs act, this one...makes his tears saltier...bwahahahaha...

please, please keep saying this from all the rooftops ...make sure you say it just like you said it here...say it to everyone you meet.

and in the interest of hospitality...you might try Boudreaux's Butt Paste...that a$$ must be awful red

I recognize this will be as productive as ma$turbating with a cheese grater, but I gotta weigh in here. I'm as keen on our guy (Manziel) winning it all as you guys are about yours, but the facts don't lie.

Te'o's a wonderful story and no-doubt-beyond-question a wonderful person. He's inspirational to his team, hard-working, a great role model for those whose parents don't fill the bill, and he's risen above tragic personal events to serve his team and his university with excellence on the football field as well as the classroom.

So give him a Nobel Peace Prize. He's doubtlessly done more to earn it than our beknighted Commander-in-Chief did. Te'o hasn't, however, by any objective measurable, done enough to earn the Maxwell -let alone the Heisman.

He's not among the top 100 players in college football this year in solo tackles, fumbles forced, TFL's or sacks. Not in the top 100. He is, though, 59th in the country in total tackles. 59th. How can you guys even think he belongs in the conversation? Because he's inspirational? Because he's a nice guy? For real?

Manti Te'o is a good player and a great person. Given. But he's not the best player in college football. He's not even the best linebacker in college football. Sorry, folks- the best player in college football this year is a kid from Kerrville, Texas, and he plays for Texas A&M.

Manti is the first player in college football history to record 100+ tackles and 7+ interceptions....

I haven't laughed this hard in a while, thank you! The only reason Manxiel is in consideration is because his defense saved him at the goal line against Bama, Manziel almost lost that game by himself. If they wouldn't have beat Bama then Manziel would not even be in Heisman consideration.

After reading about these butt hurt TAMU fans, I didn't have anything against TAMU football and actually cheered them on in the SEC this year. Now, they go in the same boat as Michigan and USC. I hate them now, I hope Manziel is the new Tate Forcier, and I REALLY hope we play each other in a bowl in the next year

To the A&M fans.......If Manti were just an average player why is he winning all of these awards? He has now won more awards in one season than any other player. I guarantee there is enough hatred toward ND that if he was just average he wouldn't win these just because he's a "good guy".

But let's examine a few facts that never show up in the stats. Manti plays inside LB. He's not asked to rush the passer very often and that's why his sacks and tackles for loss aren't high like an OLB. When he does rush positive things happen. He may not get there, but that's because he gets double teamed which opens opportunities for Nix, Tuitt & KLM. He causes all kinds of problems. Teams game plan around him. That's why he is every bit deserving of the Heisman.

Manziel has had a great season, but there are a lof of QB's that have had similar seasons and never got mentioned for the Heisman. He was just fortunate to have a signature moment at the right time to become the "Flavor of the Month".

One thing I love about this board...don't talk s. h. i. t. about our boys...we don't take that lightly.

As a native Texan, I can shed some light on this. You have to remember that Aggies suffer from Battered Aggie Syndrome. It is the result of years of being Texas' red headed step child. They are truly, the Jan Brady of the state of Texas. So they move to the SEC and have wins over Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, and they luck out with Bama (coming off the LSU win), and suddenly they think they are invincible. They look across the street and Big Brother is having issues with their season and that makes them even more pompous.

This is as good as it has been in AggieLand in Lord knows how long, so they are a little testy now that the Four Letter Network isn't giving them a gold star on their forehead at the end of class. They act really, really nice, but deep down inside, all of them, regardless of what they say, carry a deep-seeded fear (which comes out as hate) that they are not good enough. Being the red headed step child usually does that to you.
