Good luck to Danny!
I know this isn't going to be a popular view here, but I'm ecstatic this is over. Danny is a nice little player and I wish him the best, but others here were obviously much more impressed with him than I was. He wasn't needed anymore and there are bigger fish in the sea at this point.
Like the break up you know is coming. I really just feel indifferent about this.
I just wonder why he took so long.
No one seems concerned that we don't know all of the story.
I think you can get a good idea from some of the insiders that posted on this thread.
Yeah and that bothers me A LOT. Especially since so many all talking about how this opens up another scholarship for a better player.
I don't like the thought that we pushed him out to make room for other players. But I am ok if the coaches said, "we have guys that are higher on our board and you're welcome to stay...but just know that it'll be an uphill battle." But TP didn't make it sound like that.

Damn maybe I have to read it again, but I thought if you committed you had your spot BUT if you went on visits then it opens back up.
He gambled and went on a visit and they either slowed down communication or stopped calling entirely. Which is why he continued taking visits since he knew he didn't have a secured spot anymore.
If he wanted to be here all he had to do was not take other visits. Thems the rules; everybody knew them. There are probably other committed guys that the staff could "recruit over," but they haven't wandered so their spots are secure. Loyalty is a two-way street.
Yeah, but what made him want to take visits? TP indicated a page or 2 back that it wasn't because he was afraid of the competition.
Pretty sure a main issue was his desire to play TE over OLB, and that ND saw him as strictly a OLB.
Fair enough. Still puzzling why he would commit when the staff is recruiting him as an OLB.

3 spots now. If Jamel James decommits like I expect him to, we could realistically finish with Redfield, Bryant, AQM, and Folston.
