Win the natty, get him on campus... and the Irish have a shot.

Look the **** out if ND starts pulling kids like this out of the south.

Dude reminds me of Chris Donald. Crazy instincts and quick to the point of attack.

This.

If this starts happening the SEC will hate us 10x what they do now.

Step 1 - Beat Bama

Step 2 - snag recruits out of the south

Step 3 - ND leads the effort to make it mandatory for NCAA school to provide all recruits with 4 year scholarships

I just read up on this and it appears that, on the face of it at least, he's right. Saban and other SEC coaches recognized that not giving 4 year scholarships could work against them in recruiting and so they were happy to embrace this policy. Now they are forced to put players on medical hardship, get rid of them for violating team rules, or just try to get them to transfer.

Exactly. They're not 4-year football scholarships. It just means they have to be a little less aggressive with the roster manipulation.

So why are they still oversigning? Where are these kids going considering they have ridiculously poor graduation rates, but oversign every class? I'll believe it when kids start getting hurt or not playing well and get their scholly honored. It's one thing for Saban to say it, but its another to see it in practice.

NFL does not hurt grad rates if individual leaves in good academic standing.

I know the SEC sends a lot of guys to the NFL, but they aren't sending enough to make the numbers work. It's simple math, dude. I'm on my phone, so I'll have to look up specific numbers later, but its well documented that SEC teams are still consistently signing more players than scholarships available (which includes schollies gained by guys leaving for the NFL). Show me some SEC players that didn't have football work out and remained at the school with a full scholarship.

Back to Raekwon McMillan the kids seems to love Urban and the Dawgs I have a hard time seeing him go anywhere else but there is a very long time between now and when he has to sign.
