If we real in some of these top OL quickly, Reilly Gibbons may never see his coveted ND offer. I think that's a shame, but I certainly am not going to be upset over the crucial talent coming in.

Yeah it's unfortunate for him. You really pull for some of these kids to land offers but at the end of the day, or season, there are going to be a lot of good kids that don't make the cut.

Wiltfong reported it's a done deal, just "crossing the t's and dotting the i's". Also touting how much Urban wanted him (an in-stater, no less) in regards to how big of a pull this is.

Sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread, but is Byrne projected specifically for OT/OG on the line?

I'd imagine with the athletic behemoths in the '13 class, an elite lineman at 6'4" might be looked at as a guard first. But that's just considering height alone.

I realize the o-lineman are all generally recruited to be versatile and things change, just wondering.

4 commits for next years class before the calendar turns on the current year. Wow. Could there possibly be a 5th (looking at you Elijah Hood) before December is over? When will this class be almost completely full, Spring Game? I recall speculating about that earlier this year and this staff is certainly ahead of that pace.

we could be looking at a "texas" type class by the end of the spring...meaning all positions filled going into the season with maybe a few holding off for elite dudes.
