I thought he was smarter than that. Apparently not. Just because Vandy beat NOBODY good at all this year and won 8 games this year does not mean that the Commodores are good...or that ND would be the fourth best SEC team.

Why would the three coaches that voted that way last week change their vote this week?

My guess for the most likely then were Saban, Richt, and Spurrier (Cheerios Bowl). Saban would still vote his team #1 for motivation, Richt would claim the #2 Best Team lost to #1 in the SEC CG, and Spurrier is still chaffing from the '92 Sugar Bowl.


Of course there's another perspective Willie Taggart at WKU, Carl Pelini at FAU, and Mark Speir at Div 1aa Western Carolina all said, "Thank You, Alabama for the hefty buy game check." They could claim in recruiting, "If you come to Western Carolina you get to play against the National Champion." But you can scratch them. Besides their integrity, none of them are 2012 Coaches Poll Voters.

Its pathetic that I'm beginning to respect Lane Kiffin more than the SEC coaches, and I'm not kidding.

I'm curious as to why Franklin rated them so low. I really would like to hear his reasoning; assuming he is the one who filled out the ballot.

I will call our local sports radio show in the morning and ask them; or at least put the word out on the radio and see if Franklin responds. I would like to know as well. He actually is a very good coach, recruiter, and is rather sensible. I am not going to call any judgement until I hear something.

Remember, Karma is a bitch and this could come back to haunt him in the future. The win/loss columns are all that matter.
