I think he is basically referring to the recruit asking for us to take 3 of his friends in order for him to commit, basically making demands for his signature, thats not how a recruit should handle the situation and schools shouldnt give into that kind of nonsense. Recruits should earn their spots

A kid should want to be here. The coaches shouldn't have to bargain to get him here. He's what you might call a WKG.

It makes him (and his mom) someone I don't want to deal with. Ever

This. He's the classic No. 1 recruit that the more you hear about, the more you think DO NOT WANT. (Think Henderson not Clowney.)

All of these. Not saying he's a horrible kid. He's still a kid. Just not someone that I would want to deal with. Committing to a school and saying as long as they give his friends scholarships then his recruitment is over. School gives in (stupid on their part), mom starts talking **** on school, then kid decommits. Just not a family I would want to deal with.

I never heard of him actually making demands. And I fault any coaching staff who would recruit a player they don't actually want just to get another more than I would blame Robert.

I don't necessarily blame his mother for not liking Clemson either especially if they really never did take the time to try to talk to her and others did.

I also wouldn't blame Robert for wanting to play with his brother. Ole Miss also offered both of his teammates, I believe.

I agree I would hate to deal with this crap from one of our recruits, but we've had plenty of our drama just within the last two years so we do recruit guys like this.

Does the kid have interest to go to Notre Dame? Regardless of all this stuff i would personally be pumped if he came here.

Thanks for the confirmation, but still, look at what Andy says:
It's always hilarious when people criticize athletes for something they would do every day and twice on Sunday in their own lives. No one who has ever used leverage in a negotiation has any right to rip Nkemdiche here. Used another job offer to squeeze a raise out of your employer? Same concept. Used a connection to get a friend hired? Ditto. When you do it, you're being a good capitalist, but when Nkemdiche does it, he's being a spoiled, entitled brat? That's crazy. Nkemdiche is doing exactly what he should do: using the power he has to his advantage before he enters a system in which he'll have little pull. (This also might be a good place to note that, according to figures provided to the U.S. Department of Education, Clemson football generated $31.7 million in revenue during the 2010-11 school year.)

I'm not saying he's a horrible person or anything. I'm just saying that's not a kid I want on our team. I don't want a kid that's here solely because we succumbed to his demands. I mean, can you imagine what that could potentially do to a locker room? If other teams want him, good luck he certainly seems athletic. But kids that openly pull stunts like this fizzle more than sizzle in my experience.

(It's an opinion is what I'm saying.)

I do know what it does to the locker room. Just look at last year with AL.

I keep popping in here for an update and wonder if there is really any legit chance we pick this kid up. Last time I checked he's pretty content with the SEC schools, just not sure where the Irish stand with this kid. Has Diaco made any appearences in the weight room at this kids school yet?

I think I read somewhere, or heard, last week that the University ofAlabama was one of the ten easiest schools to get a degree. Top flight education there! Almost as good as one from ITT technical college.

How dare you insult ITT Tech by comparing them to Alabama.

Wonder why Clemson is losing recruits this year? They are having a good season and its an awesome party school.

Checks may not be clearing, economy is still tough in many parts of the country.

ISD writer is really impressed with Nkemdiche while watching him at the Under Armour practice. Writer compares him to Clowney's Under Armour appearance from two years ago: says though Nkemdiche's physique isn't as impressive, his production might exceed Clowney's.

So brother plays at Ole Miss and parents want them to play together but Alabama is favorite? I am guessing that his high school coach was also his brother's no?

He's the top recruit in the country and deservedly so. He's a once-in-a-generation freak, and by all accounts is very smart, a good student, and is a very high-character young man.

The situaion is complicated. His HS coach is a Bama grad, and has probably encouraged him to take a good look at us, but doesn't seem to be pushing him toward any particular school. His brother is a starter at Ole Miss and he's said he'd like to play on the same team with him. Both parents seem supportive of wherever he chooses, but the dad would like him to go to UGA so he'd be near him, and the mom has said she prefers Bama because of Saban and the academics.

I think Ole Miss probably has the best shot at landing him, with Bama, UGA, and LSU in that order having the next best chances, but who knows what a 17-year-old kid will do? Kid's gonna be a monster wherever he goes.

Will visit Florida.

Just go to Ole Miss with your brother Bobby. Don't help out the Bama's and Florida's of the world.
