Precisely. I could have worded that better so it didn't look like he was committing to ND...

I could play devil's advocate that despite the language I should have understood what you meant. I'm content blaming lack of sleep from my monolithic engineering project if you are.

Back to Redmond, I am just shocked coaches can take such a clearly obtuse stance with these young men. Seems like Mullen might be our best recruiter in Will's case.

I just got off of the phone with my buddy at State. He is on Mullens staff. I brought up the Redmund kid and said I heard he was thinking of looking around. He said Mullen was pissed! He has high hopes for Redmund and doesn't want him looking around. Told him that if he took a visit that he (Mullen) would take him off of the commentment list and would be looking for someone else to fill the spot. According to my buddy, Mullen told him that if he was going to keep looking, he wasn't the type kid he wanted in Starkville.

Again, this is hear say and not addmissible in court, but it did come from an assistant.

Premium article at Rivals said that he is solid to Miss St and will only take visits with Mullens blessing. Also the only reason he wants to visit is because all he knows is Mississippi and wants to get out and see the country a bit before going to college. Taking OV's gives him that opportunity.

He's never been outside of Mississippi? Forget the solid verbal then; he may never return to that state once he leaves.

I'll take Treggs and Nelson, thank you very much.

He runs funny. Like he's not even trying. I guess that's a good thing?

He can't specifically talk about recruits to the public so he would have had to be talking about commits taking other visits in general.

He was talking about kids today wanted everything. He plainly said that if any of his commitments went somewhere else on a visit, he did not consider them committed. He later said that if a player committed and took another visit, to him, that meant that Miss State was just their fall back and he didn't consider Miss State a little brother to anyone. He called theirs a reservation. As far as saying a players name, no he didnt. However, if I were a prospect that had committed and was talking of taking an official, I would take it personally. Maybe you wouldn't. Hell, I know I am weird, maybe I am the only one that would take it that way. Anyways, thats the way I took it, and I called a buddy at State and he confirmed that Redmund had concerned Mullen. There are others, but his name got the attention of my buddy.

An update. Talked to my bud this morning to talk about something unrelated and he mentioned that Will was coming to Starkville this weekend to catch the game and he is going to talk to Mullen about him maybe taking some trips. According to my buddy, Will is 100% committed to State, but would like to get to take some trips for free and see some sights. I cannot give you the source because I am not going to rat my bud out just to add validity to my statements, but if you look at my history, I am not one to blow smoke just to get my post count up. There may be some of you that will appreciate what I have posted and some that will crtiticize. I could give 2 sh1ts either way. I just kind of enjoy bieng able to contribute to the recruiting discussion since I live 600+ miles away and do not get the opportunity much.

Seemed to be visiting just for the experience. Allows for more time for other recruits.

Yea, I thought he wasn't coming. If we convinced him to come again then he must be more valued by the staff than I thought.

If he goes anywhere else, it will be in the state of Tennessee. The Mullen rumors may speed that process up. Look for Vandy or UT in the end.

We were convinced that him and Kimbrow would go to school together. Any good chance it still ends that way? I think so.

Was visited by Hinton today and Redmond said it went "great" and that he's now really excited to see ND just not sure when yet

I guess I should try harder to learn more about Redmond...apparently the staff likes him plenty yet I've been kind of putting him off.

Do we have any senior film of him?

I'm sure if he came in and they would consider him on both sides of the ball, but he was recruited as a CB earlier in the process.

Very physical DB. Probably 5'11" reminds me of (gulp) Gary Gray.

First crack will be at DB. Runs a sub 4.4 40. He'd be a great bookend. Not sure of our chances at this point.
