Now that Golson is a boss, everyone can start worrying about when Kiel will transfer for playing time.

That is something to think about. If the season continues like this, will there be a QB battle next season? Kiel has all the talent in the world, but do you a replace a possible 12-0 starting QB who has 3 years of eligibility left?

One flaw is the intermediate route in the middle of the field... He missed some wide open opportunities last night... one in particular that could've been 6... I don't know if it's because of his height or he just feels more comfortable throwing outside... Either way he needs to learn to throw in the middle of the field...

I think it is his height, he just doesn't see the receivers over the linemen.

Am I the only one that thought I heard the Last of the Mohicans theme playing at times last night?

But seriously, things are starting to click. Ev is the type of guy that learns from experience rather than studying. He's gonna get better and better.

His maturity level is a million times higher than what it was in the Navy game. If he builds off of this very, very impressive Oklahoma performance then I don't we will have a QB controversy in the off season

If it isnt a designed run it doesn't seem like he is a quick running. And please hold that ball closer to the body. But his % was down last night but he still made alot of very nice throws.

He's still dumping balls OB when the play isn't there. I didn't count but I would guess 4-5 balls. He's been well coached, took Kelly to heart. Those will go down some as he develops.

That play to CB was really big for this offense. That can open up the offense for everybody. Big building block.

He's a freshman! He'll be fine.

Golson post game tidbits

I now realize this is a team game

Prefers road games

Also, listen to him cough and sniff, i bet kelly had him pumped full of dayquill and night quill around the clock to be sure he would play.

I forgot to post this earlier, but I was excited finally to see EG do his pump fake on the TD to TJ against Wake.

I remembered watching his High School highlights and seeing a lot of pump fakes. Always been a big fan of the "pump fake".

Yeah that was tremendous!

Now what are the freshman QB records that he has a chance to break over the remaining 2 games?

I wasn't a fan of it on the deep ball to Brown that was dropped!

Not to be overly critical because Golson played his but off but a few of his completions were not very good throws we just happen to have better athletes going up for the ball. On Goodman's catch the ball should have thrown sooner and Eifert's catch that ball should have been picked. The good news is Golson realized all of that and mentioned it in his post game interview. He is aware and striving to get better. Give him another month of practice and its going to be fun to watch.
