Ought to be a heck of a game.
Ought to be a heck of a game.
Hello Irish fans. Thanks for allowing me to come on board here and talk football. When I was 10 yrs old, my dad took my twin brother and I, to our very first OU football game. It was 1966, and we played ND. Both of us were in awe at the size of the stadium, the crowd, the sea of crimson and cream colors. But besides that, we were playing ND. How cool was that? The first time I saw the movie "Rudy" it brought back sooo many memories of that day, that my dad took us to that game. If some of you don't remember, LOL, ND beat us 38-0 !! 38-0 ! My dad was just sick that the first OU game he took his sons to, our beloved Oklahoma Sooners got beat 38-0. Did I mention the score 38-0 ???
Anyway, the Sooner faithful is looking forward to this game. We are starting to jell as team. When we played UTEP, our first game of the season, we looked like a HS team. When we played K-State, (that are really good) we looked like a JUCO team but coming around. By the Texas Tech game, you could see it coming together, especially when we made Texass our step child. Anyway, our football traditions should be the "centerpiece" of college football this Saturday, and hopefully it will be entertaining and injury free for both teams. Boomer Sooner and here's to a great time and game !
