Kansas is getting the shite kicked out of them .

It must be Saturday.

KU is a bad team and they play a schedule as tough as ND's.

KU's only win is over Div 1AA South Dakota St.

Of the 17 Offensive and Defensive Categories the NCAA ranks in team profiles, KU is over 100 (out of 124 teams) in 5 categories and over 90 in 4 more. They're below 50 in only 3.

OU is in the Top 25 in 9 of those 17 categories (Top 15 in 7) and only ranked worse than 70 in 2.

Sounds like Boston College .

Can't wait to be at the Heights watching the Irish hammer the Eagles .

This game determines if we are "back" yet or not IMO.

This is what I have been saying all year. Oklahoma was picked to win national championship by a few sources. I never bought that but I did think they would be our biggest match. No predictions from me this week. I will have enough to think about all week. I coach a youth football team that are starting the playoffs Saturday. Met Rudy a couple weeks ago and take a lot of inspiration from him. My team is the smallest in the league in both size and number of kids and we have beat teams we shoud not have.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Oklahoma Sooners
Oklahoma Memorial Stadium (Norman, Oklahoma)
Saturday, October 27, 2012

Get on the bull and let it buck. Hell they cant beat Oklahoma in Norman can they? Man just go out there and let it rip, play loose and with nothing to lose. of course I pick OU-love to be 0-8.

82,112 is capacity of OU's stadium. Just a tad bigger than ND stadium at 80,795. Lets hope Golson and comapny have game of year.

If we have to lose , I prefer OU than USC. ND can always build back up in rankings. Don't want to lose last game and miss a BCS game.

While I still won't say we are a contender, I will say why is everyone so open for a loss or two? We still are undefeated and we have a good team. I am not going to start saying we lose in Norman or to USC. Walk into a game thinking loss and there is a good chance it will happen.

I mean, it can't hurt right?

Last time ND started 7-0 it went on the road as a double-digit underdog with College GameDay on site. Irish upset FSU. Worth remembering.

In an imaginary world where I have to predict ND goes 11-1, I'm with you here. OU isn't the on-field rival nor recruiting rival USC is. F%ck USC!

That said, I see no reason ND can't beat OU...or Pitt, BC, Wake, and sc.

I wish there was some precedent this season of beating a lesser but still talented team at home by 3 points and then going on the road to play a top 10 team in a hugely hyped game!

I would be very surprised if we are double-digit dogs, but I am loving the sentiment here!

Oh man, I would rather forget that. We lost the next game to BC right? And then what, three more games, including the bowl game. And then we spiraled down into sub-mediocrity. So I am cool with not comparing this team to the 2002 team.

I am really looking forward to this game! I don't know how it will turn out as does anyone but I know our guys have lots and lots of fight in them and that gives me hope that they can win! What a great position Notre Dame is in right now!

Haha I agree. Thank god this team has a different mentality and physical/mental toughness. I am 100% bought into this coaching staff. The transformation in this team in only three years has been nothing short of remarkable. We may come out and lay an egg against Oklahoma, but I think it's far more likely that we're competitive and the game is close till the end. And even so, I think even if we lose we'll be fine the rest of the season.

I hear you though, it sucks to even think of comparing this team to where the program was under Ty. Makes me want to drink even this early in the morning haha. :alcohol:

10/21 Sagarin is out. ND is #5 for BCS purposes.

Sagarin's Predictor Model makes OU a 7 pt favorite over ND in Norman.

This is our second real road game this year (MSU was first and only so far)...

Will be interesting to see how we handle that. We played well vs. MSU, but I think they were a bit overrated/ we match up with them better.

I think we need a similar offensive gameplan though. Get up early and try to take the crowd out of it- force their offense to press a bit and hopefully get some turnovers.
