Disappointed Tulane isn't on the list. Louisiana produces the highest percentage of D1 football players per capita. Need to start getting talent from that area.

I voted as follows:

Florida- always good for national recognition and recruiting to beat a Florida team

Texas A&M- recruits in Texas as well as the SEC kids will take notice

Rutgers- keep our pipeline to Don Bosco and crush Rutgers chances of taking sneaking any big time recruits away from us

Cal- Another left coast opponent, a good game to show out for Cali recruits, and a good chance to warm up for USC

Nothing would make me happier than getting a chance to see ND embarrass PSU in Beaver Stadium. So Pedo State.

You guys think that is a competitive schedule.... seriously? no ohter team in the country will come close to playing something like that year to year... most schools will NEVER play a schedule like that...

That's a good point. However, I never want to be on the other end of that spectrum. If we're the best team in the nation, we can prove it by beating all of the other good ones.

Why don't you just throw the Patriots, Packers, Bears, and 49ers in there?

I am more for something of this nature....

Navy
MAC team
USC
ACC1
ACC2
ACC3
ACC4
ACC5
Stanford/Cal/UCLA
B1G team (PU, IU, UM, MSU)
Big 12 team
Air Force/Army/Big East

Much more reasonable and undefeated still gets us in the top 4 most if not every single year.

week to week games are not played in vacuums... even Bama needs to play some of those joksters in November... no school in the country would win consistently playing that kind of schedule...

Didn't put them in order. Keep in mind that 5 ACC games will provide 2-4 easy ones depending on the year. Let's say 3 on average. PU/IU will provide 2 easy games every 4 years, maybe 4 if PU is in a down period. Navy,,, sorry, but we should never lose. That's 5 easy games out of 12. I say easy, but only easy if we are who we want to be. The other 7, depending on rotation will not be all heavy hitters. In short, it would be no harder than what we THOUGHT we were walking into this year. USC, OK, UM, MSt, Stanf, Miami, BYU are all big name programs. Some are not as good as we thought they'd be, but that same would happen with the above too.

And I'd actually be happy adding the MAC, but I just don't think it will happen. My thoughts...
1. it's likely we'll always play 2 B10 games
2. it's likely we'll always play 2 P12 games
3. the administration has talked about keeping the B12 relationship steady
4. we'll always play 5 ACC games
5. Navy isn't going anywhere....

If the above holds true.... that's one more game. IMO, as most ACC teams do, we may follow suit and look for an SEC rivalry. If we give up any of the above, I'd give up Navy, but that will never happen because of tradition. So.... I'd part with the B12 except for TX (due to recruiting).
