He still wants to visit though, Sapp says, "for the WVU game." must mean WFU?
Texas is getting serious about its recruitment of two-sport star Devon Allen (Phoenix/Brophy Prep).
The three-star receiver prospect told HornsNation he officially received an offer from Texas and receivers coach Darrell Wyatt nearly two weeks ago.
That’s a significant move for the Longhorns, who already have commitments from two touted 2013 receivers and continue to chase No. 1 receiver and former UT pledge Ricky Seals-Jones.
We are out of this race. Stanford and Texas lead in that order. Arkansas 3rd.
Set OV for Stanford game.
UCLA is his new leader.
feel like i am watching a nascar race....damn kids changing their minds left and right
I tnhink with Arkansas being a tire fire and how hard it is to get into Stanford might have something to do with it. I will honestly be really suprised if we get him. Glad to see him visting though. I can't be right all the time lol.

It’s no surprise, then, that Allen is down to three schools and all three are in the Pac-12. The two-sport star said he’s now considering UCLA, Stanford and Arizona State.
Per ISD, won't visit for Stanford game. Said Notre Dame has "closed recruiting."
To specify, he said they have all their commits at the position. Not recruiting as a whole.
Wow. Sad but what can you say, we filled up quick this year.
Would you guys trade him for any of the four guys we got? I don't think I would. Allen's skill set is somewhat duplicative of Chris Brown's. I like Onwualu's rugged athleticism and ability to break tackles, Fuller's versatility (to play CB), Robinson's imposing size, and Hunter's playmaking ability.
Now we gotta get a burner in the next class though.
I would trade any of the four guys we got right now for Devon Allen. This kid is not only a superior athlete with elite speed, he also is a winner and a great kid with the right attitude and his head on straight. He would be ready to play from day one and would immediately be the fastest player on the roster hands down from the moment he steps on campus. He's a strong powerful runner too, so this is a huge miss unfortunately.

As you said, it is not a miss, but a choice. One in the hand is worth two in the bush, and I happen to think our stable of committed WRs are very talented and complement each other extremely well. Not to mention that all seem to be firmly committed to ND for the right reasons, and seem to be genuinely good kids. I'll gladly keep the status quo in regards to our recruits rather than pine over a kid that might not have chosen ND in the first place, especially since our staff obviously feels comfortable doing so.
No, give me Hunter any day over Allen. Give me Fuller and James's versatility to play defense and offense any day over Allen. SMH
