I fully expect Kelly to come out pounding the rock early. The Michigan media even say their D line is average and linebackers are undersized. If ND can run consistently, me likey.

Also...is it me or does this game feel like a Shembo/ Ishaq week in terms of containing/ tackling Denard? Shembo had a coming out party last week. I just feel like Ishaq is about to pop, and I'd love to see it come tomorrow.

does anyone know what the experience will be like for the recruits we have coming to town this weekend? do they go to team meetings? do they get the pregame/halftime fire up speech from BK?

Turn the run defense on/make him pass/ and live with the results. There will be a big play or two but allow these young kids in the secondary to play aggressive and go to the ball. The offense should score-gotta win this game for credit on a national level.

I am good with Denard being forced to pass a lot. I just don't think he is going to beat us with his arm. Plus, Nix and Co. have already gotten their hands on a lot of passes so, with Denard's size (or lack thereof) I can see a lot of tipped passes tomorrow. If we can limit Denard on the ground, I will live with the consequences of him throwing. If his pass attempts are in the high 20's, I think it will be a good day.

So apparently the player did get in a fight at the bar last night but will play tomorrow. He is a starter. I would prefer to not name the player publically as there does not appear to be any online info about this currently. My apologizies for the "smoke".

WTF is a player doing at a bar on a Thursday night before a game like this? I get that he might have been there and not drinking but seriously. Don't put yourself into a situation where this could happen. Dumb.

Haha, I saw that. It's like he said ... Alabama provided the blueprint. Not saying we are as good as 'Bama (no one is even close), but I think we have a front seven that can contain Denard and force him to throw deep balls, and, when he does, we have a ball hawking secondary that will knock down his arm punts. We almost executed that strategy successfully last year, but, well, you know what happened ...

I really don't think our inexperience in the secondary will be that dangerous against Michigan ... the only plays that hurt us last year were the arm punts, and this year we have the athletes in the secondary to go up and knock those down, instead of watch smaller guys catch them over us (sorry, Gary Gray, but that's what you did).

I also think we'll be able to run on them. Cierre is going to have a field day.

It's hard to look at it objectively when you are a fan, but if I try, I really think I would still pick us to win this one.
