Damn it. He's one I really wanted. Hopefully Davaris Daniels, TJ Jones, and TJ Riddick will just embarrass him in 2012 and 2013.

Ever been to a store and saw the 1 thing you had to have? Then while walking to the register you saw 1 that was a better fit and went with that?

Thats probably what happened with this gentleman. Maybe it was a little cheaper and ALMOST as good and he could live with that.

Ever happened to you? If it has happened to me so I can't yell about him. Would have loved to have gotten him (TX TALENT BABY!!),
but this opens up another spot on next years recruting class so I am not overly upset.

Go Irish

Wisconsin, ND, now OU. Maybe we get him back...maybe he signs with a local Texas team. Guy does bounce around. I'll miss him but it's onto other guys now.

Life-long OK fan, much closer to home, always said that an OK offer would make him rethink things (when he was committed to Wisc), and committed to ND without a visit. Add all those things together and this isn't a surprise.

And unlike many other kids out there, he didn't seek the spotlight and talk to everyone and everyone and do the hat dance and all that crap. I think he was generally torn on an unbelievably tough decision, and he chose his dream school, a school closer to home. Happens to ND all the time, losing to hometown schools.

When ND flips kids, I love it. When we get 'our' kids flipped from us, it sucks. But if we're gonna praise those that flip to us, we can't bury kids that flip from us, especially if they do it with some decency.

It's all part of the recruiting madness...

Thanks for some sanity amid the madness.

Sure does suck when this happens to us...puts a hamper on DB recruiting, but as stated above gives one more to work with next year when we hopefully land a couple studs who see a chance at early p.t.

I hope everything is alright? I was disappointed when he decommitted but understood because OU was who he was waiting on. Can't fault a kid for accomplishing something he worked hard for.

Weird....I thought for sure this was gonna be a "we could really use this dude right now" post when I saw this on the front page. Hope he's OK.

Pretty odd. He seemed to have wanted OU pretty badly. Hope he's okay.

This has been in the works for a while. But I don't follow the OU program so I have no idea why he left (some say he dropped on the depth chart, but again, I don't know)...

He should be a star at a school like UTSA. His presence in the secondary would have been much needed if he signed with ND right about now

At the very worst he would be depth and one of three cbs who were actually recruited for the position

From what I have read, he injured his shoulder last year that required surgery and this year he was not expected to see any significant playing time if any at all. Also he was listed on OU's roster as a safety I believe and not a CB. No disrespect intended, but why would we be interested in him joining ND? If he was willing to walk on and play himself into a scholarship that would be fine, but I can't see giving a scholarship to a player who could not even crack the two deep of a team you what to beat.

Also, the Sooner people are ripping him for being a quitter.

We aren't interested, this just made news because he is a former commit at a position of dire need

I got the impression that some were hoping he was interested in transferring to ND. Thanks for the clarification.

Some may be but he wouldn't be any help this year when the shortage of bodies with any experience is acute.
