What Other Teams Do you Follow?

Title says it all:

Air Force (attended) and Cal (family school).

How do you balance your fanhood?

For me I'm 100% committed to the Irish. I don't follow recruiting for the other schools, unless something wild happens like with Cal last year. When AF plays ND I obviously root for ND and hope for a good game with no injuries.

Notre Dame obviously, regardless of who they play.

NC State - alma mater

Univ. of Tennessee - grandparents lived in Knoxville. Parents met and graduated there.

ahhhh you lil sap! just kidding!!! i still think you are all cheaters ...if ur 100% committed to ND like we want our recruits and players to be; how then can you not be 100% committed to rooting soley for them???? #thought provoking statement right there

If Cal plays USC, I want Cal to win! That's how :)

In all seriousness, when two teams you don't normally follow play in the super bowl you pick one to win don't you? Or when Auburn and Oregon played in the NC game I wanted Oregon to win because I hate the SEC.

I'm not actively rooting for them, but hope they do well.

I root for all teams on our schedule besides the week they play us. If they do well, we look better. If they match up, I take the one that will be better for us.

I root with hate though...

I root for the Irish 100% of the time. I "follow" everyone we play to see how they are doing. SoMe i root for so if we beat them we look better some i refuse to root for ever. Outside that i follow OSU but that is strictly to root against.
Outside ncaa i root for the green bay packers and the Chicago cubs.

@ D-BOE34... I agree with you... It's going to be hard to want Michigan to win V Bama, but to have them win and us put it on them in prime time- that'd be sweet.

As for me...

CFB - only ND

CBB - Seton Hall & ND, and Big East when they play other conferences.

Soccer- Tottenham, Ireland & US national teams.

NFL- Jets, sadly

MLB- Mets

Hockey- Devils

NBA- Knicks

Notre Dame Football is by far my team but soccer is my favorite sport. Also love HSBB and am spoiled with the talent that is in a 10 mile radius of my house.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

I don't split my allegiance, it's like having two kids, I just have twice the love....ND can't join the Big 12 or it will really complicate my life.

I need all the help I can get from the Irish, and Jayhawks b/c the Royals haven't been good since I was 5, and the Chiefs (although I am excited for this team) haven't won a playoff game in 19 years I believe.

After looking at Anthony McDonald's page and being reminded of how ND heavy Kansas is... I'm going to go ahead and follow Kansas pretty close this year.

I can absolutely, without reservation say I am the biggest, truest, most adamant Notre Dame fan in Mayberry, NC. ( the fact that I am apparently the only one not withstanding )

I wouldn't say I follow any other college football teams, but I have a weird love-hate relationship with the Virginia schools, as someone who grew up in Virginia. There's a sense in which I hate Virginia and Virginia Tech because growing up I found the fans around me annoying (it's always annoying when the people around you get all excited about something that you don't care about, like when "Pour Some Sugar On Me" comes on at the bar), but I also catch myself rooting for them whenever I catch them on TV. Don't know if anyone else has that relationship with their hometown teams.

My friend just got drafted from the Padres this year and went there. And I believe you played with one of my coaches during that time frame.

But back on topic there is no other team I follow and care about besides ND. I love watching prime time games and big matchups and love rooting for the underdog.

As I have been sending a large sum of money there for the last 4+ years, I follow The University of South Carolina Gamecocks. My daughter graduates on Saturday so I might be off the hook!
Oddly enough, I'm not the only one who can't stand their football coach, they all think he's a jerk. Nice run in baseball while she was there--two National Championships and in the finals this year--now if my Indians can turn it around like that....

On the other hand, she asked me point blank who I would root for if they met in a bowl--no hesitation--GOOOOOOOOO IRISH!!!!!!!
