It may be the child of the 80's in me, but I just LOVE seeing these two logos next to each other...

I live in the Chi so I'll be in search of tickets for sure. LOVE that they're having a game in Chicago, and LOVE that it's against Miami. Really hope I can make it out, but regardless, yet another occasion to crack some brews.

Coming up for this one, should be a great scene. Irish need this game at that location, will be great boost to recruiting.

What has Seantrel been getting into that has him in the dog house with Golden?? Im curious cause he just seems like he has wasted a butt load of talent.

Whole thing with Nevin Sharpio. Late to practice. He has all the talent in the world but would have never fit in at ND imo. Hes been in the dog house with both staff since his freshman year.

Drugs. Weed specifically

Edit: hasn't been caught as far as I know, just I know that he does smoke, which may lead to other things, like low grades leading to academic suspension. I dont know whether he is in trouble or not, just pure speculation on my part

I think the bears have the tickets. I hope to meet some of you at this game. Let's set up a tailgate to all meet up

We have to go through the Soldier Field ticket office?

Edit: just went to their website. "tickets not on sale"

Edit: Stubhub seems to have a lot for sale

Bill Connelly's preview of the 2012 'Canes can be found here.

Defining Success

It is difficult to define goals for the 2012 Miami squad since we don't know if they will be eligible for the postseason or not thanks to the any-day-now possibility of NCAA sanctions. But even if they are a true Top 30 team, the schedule could prevent them from piling up a large win total. Miami plays six teams projected 33rd or better this fall, though four do have to visit Miami. Plus, they will probably be underdogs in trips to Kansas State and Virginia as well. If Miami wins half of those games and gets to 7-5 or 8-4, Golden will have once again done one hell of a job. We'll set the bar at seven wins.

Prognosis

Golden and company truly are in an odd position right now. They are building for the future, but they have no idea what the future is going to look like, or how hard the road will be. I still think Golden was the right man for the Miami job at this point in time, but that might not matter. His 2012 will be talented, athletic and flawed. We'll see what they have to play for come November.

ticket prices for this game are nuts.... 150 each for the very top corner of the stadium

UCLA did some crazy ish when ND went to the Rose Bowl also... you had to buy full price season tickets to UCLA just to be added to the lottery to be eligible to buy tickets for the ND game at a price that was higher than the entire season package itself...

and that was in the middle of the worst season in recent memory.

Looked back and some seemed to wonder if tickets were available. They have been sold out through the lottery. Lowest face value was $100 highest was $175. Maybe be wrong at the high end. I paid $100 for my 300 level seats through the university.

From Bruce Feldman "Miami has 64 players listed on its roster who are either freshmen or sophomores, including 34 on its two-deep."

By comparison, Notre Dame has 19 soph/frosh in its two-deep (not including GA3 at RB).

If you count K/P/KR/PR/LS, that total bumps to 25.

Both are young teams, both should be VERY good in the next couple years.

BCs offense looks much improved, honestly that Amidon kid could ruin our DBs. Miami's oline impressed me on run blocking and duke Johnson was very impressive. Both these teams worry me a lil now.

the jury is still out on whether both of these teams are alright or both of these teams suck. Both made quite a few mistakes and but also had strengths against each other. However, how they do these next 4-5 weeks should tell us what this game is really about...

Northwestern and Syracuse put up a lot of points, I dont think anyone here is worried about those teams if we played them.

Nobody worried about NW or SYR the last time we played them ... both losses.
