I would say so... Columbus is almost 5 hours away from South bend.

If he was really interested I don't think they would have been in a rush to get to OSU. Urban would have seen him even if he was an hour late.

The best thing to do is forget about him and if it happens great.

Wooly...i make the drive about 10 times a yr. it is 2 hrs to Toledo and then 2 hrs down 80/90 to south bend. That is if there is alot of traffic. Go about five miles over the speed limit. There are no stops at all the entire way. All highway driving. So yes considering to OSU at the time he was leaving add 20 mins for drive time and traffic on 23. So really only looking at 4 to 4 1/2 at the most.

Lol at this debate ... I too have made this drive many times. It usually takes me about 4.5 hours. I can believe that clashmore did it in 4 if it was 5am and he was really pushing it, but less than that would take some Earnhardt driving.

He's been to Oregon, Notre Dame, Ohio State in the last two weeks... What in the hell could Vanderbilt offer him that any of these schools can't? You could fit two of Vandy's stadiums inside any of those 3 schools... Not that stadiums make the difference but when is the last time Vanderbilt landed a top 3 positional player??

I live and work in Nashville. I love the city and I actually really like what Vanderbilt stands for. I just don't see anything that they can offer him to make him want to come there..

He has come out and said USC leads, it is just that most people think the feeling will wear off and he will still end up at USF or possibly UF. Even if we make his "Top 5" it would take things to go absolutely perfect for us to really have a chance to land him.

IMO, what we really have going for us is that his dad is a football coach and we are a Tier 1football program that is not a football factory. We'll continue to stand out for that reason.

BUT...

- If it is purely football, he's a DB so he'll go Alabama.
- If its about personal awesomeness, he'll go to USC because that is where awesome people go to be awesome.
- If it's about family he'll go to USF.

I don't seeUSF rivals Miami or Florida winning here, but UF over Miami.
