Philly add you mentioned we better win. We lost last year, and if you don't think that directly influences you are crazy. I think the staff had the right idea last year but can fine tune it. Maybes not everybody and there brother and try to not pair kids who may be looking at the same schools. But most importantly just win.

Scott Schrader is reporting that Willis is now a UCLA lean.

?? Don't know where you saw that, but he has definitely not said that. In fact he has been pretty adamant about that not being the case.

Greg Biggins might have reported that Priest Willis is a UCLA lean, though.

Yes Hoosier. Coming for the Michigan game.

ah yes, forgot that part, thanks for the reminder. But I was more referring to whether you guys think we have a legit shot at landing him or not. Are we on the outside looking in, on the same ground as the others, or out in front (doesnt seem like it)?

ISDUpdate: AZ DB Priest Willis actually has a Top 16: UCLA, USC, NEB, LSU, MICH, UVA, WASH, ND, FL, FSU, CAL, ASU, AZ, OU, ORE & UTAH

Seems like he is real close to his decision!

What is the point of a top 16? Seriously? Why not just say its wide open?

I think he set up a bracket to help make his decision. I think the we face Cal in the first round. I'm pretty sure we are a 3 seed.

I am very surprised to read this, the people who really know what going on, on most all of the USC boards are saying he is all but a UCLA lock at this point and have pretty much givin up hope of him coming to SC.

His school isnt too far from where I live, I'll have to get some footage and post it this season.

UCLA lock for Priest Willis? Haven't even heard them mentioned as a serious contender. Seems to be a battle between LSU and USC (if not full) with ND having a solid chance to make up ground during OVs.

I know its not super accurate, but 247 has LSU and USC as "warmer" and ND and Nebraska as "warm".
UCLA is one of ~20 schools listed as "cool" interest level.

If VHIII committs to USC it will become interesting. Would they be able to take Willis? Probably, as someone will have "bad grades". But that also means that Hawkins would be out as well. Interesting...

Hollywood said in Chris Hawkins thread that U$C is taking 5 DBs in this class. What I'm trying to dig up is how that breaks down into CB and S. Also, what's (essentially) the max they can take this year (even though that **** face Lame Kiffin will pull scholarships if he has to)?

Check the USC recruiting thread for a conversation between me and the USC poster, he explained their DB numbers and who they'd take

For those wondering USC is still hard after Willis and will take Willis over Hargreaves if both want to come. And from what I've heard It's far more of a Ucla USC battle and Lsu is third.

Because of Willis' ability to play safety and corner?

Proximity to the University. It was discussed in Chris Hawkins thread. Me9Rob stated:

This^ I gotta say I think most USC posters were a little surprised to see that Chris wanted to take visits. And in all honesty, it'd be in our (USC's) best interest to make sure Chris is a part of this class instead of risking an OOS guy who could burn us come NSD. It's a risk that Lane Kiffin has said he doesn't want to take.

Pretty much what IHateMarkMay said. I think our coaches probably view both Hargreaves and Willis as being fairly equal talents, but Willis is versatile, like you said, and he's closer and if we miss on him, we'd most likely play against him.
