For every one of our recruits tweeting at him it seems like Tre Bell has 5 tweets to him. Idk I just think this kid is going to UF, would like to get him but i think he gone

He already expected Edwards to choose Syracuse so I wouldn't think it changes anything.

I personally think Ogudenko chooses Syracuse but would love him to choose ND

Disagree with just about everyone here about him. That video shows that he does "get" ND, I think. Mentions the education, campus, people, the peaceful atmosphere -- not really comments characteristic of the "football-only" type that a lot of people here don't like. Plus if he was only about football, there's no way Syracuse would be in his top three.

Everything there seems to favor ND. He likes the ND defensive scheme, wants to play the position that ND is recruiting him for, and is eager to learn the finer points of the position change.

Although, for the record, I personally think there's nothing wrong with ND football players or any other football players being football-first.

I like Muhammad and Sheritt more at the DE/CAT position, EO and Drennon are second in my opinion.

The kid is fine; he just may not be as couth as some of you fine gentlemen. Our CAT needs can be met in fine fashion by Mattingly, hot topic on some pay sites, and EO is getting it and one he11 of a lot of love from the IM13. I personally am going to have fun seeing how this works out.

^^^another pitfall of twitter...If you look directly at EO's feed you'd see that he was tweeting recruits and other sources (including Mike Farrell) to give him shout outs to get his number of followers up.

Edit: I think our guys were definitely showing him some love/support but it most likely wasn't spontaneous.

Right, sorry I edited to reflect that I definitely think they are showing him support as someone they'd like as a future teammate but that he had asked for shout outs and players from other schools like Bell were doing the same thing.

It doesn't take all that much to put a personal spin on it so I always think it is best to take tweets with a grain of salt.

Per TV looks like UF will be the choice, but don't fret. One analyst called him the worst DE at the Opening and that he lacks a quick first step for being only 230lb.

I wasn't sold on this kid months ago, but he is growing on me. I think the most important thing to think about is that he is coming out of Brooklyn, not Texas, Georgia, Florida, or Cali. This means that he probably hasn't received the coaching, i.e. skill development that a lot of other kids at the Opening have been fortunate to have. Plus his competition probably isn't as good, so he gets by on raw talent.

I'd be happy to have him, sit out the first year and develop. I would like to think that our staff could improve him and make him a strong DE.

Why do you and everyone else on this board like Drennon over Ebenezer?

I just don't see it looking at their films and rankings I'd take Ebenezer.

I think Drennon has more upside. He appears to be more athletic and all-around quicker than Ebenezer. You want your CAT linebacker to be a freak... a James Harrison type player capable of pure destruction. I think Drennon has more "freak" potential. Watching USA football, there were an umber of plays where he would jump off the screen with his athleticism. The versatility of Drennon is just something Ogundeko doesn't have... it especially stands out when you see some of his TE highlights... the kid can fly for his size.

All things considered, I'd most like to have Muhammed + Sherrit as our last two prospects. Drennon + Muhammed or Drennon + Sherrit would be sweet too... the beauty of Muhammed is that I think he can play either DE or CAT. You watch Muhammed's film now and you think CAT but he seems to have the frame to get up well north of 260 and be a pass rushing DE.

Yup. I like the CAT position to be explosive. Ebenezer doesn't have that explosiveness that makes a Elite OLB. IMO he should grow into a 4-3 End.

Muhammad is a top 50 overall prospect ... I don't see how you could leave him out. The choice between Drennon and Sherit is tough though. I'd lean toward Drennon, but I love the stuff Sherit says about wanting to be around the type of people who want to be at Notre Dame (similar to Jaylon Smith).

Would still take Ebenezer, obviously (a bird in the hand, etc.), but he has to be a bit behind the others after his lackluster performance at the Opening.

Unlike the other 2, I could actually see Sherit grow into a 285+ pd 3-4 end. Drennon I think could only play CAT. Muhammad could be a leen pass rush DE like Lynch or just stay at CAT.
