Correction: it would be good to have someone who you can relate to as a pro sports legends son as a teammate.

Hahaha

In contact with Coach Kerry Cooks

Cooks' wife and his mom went to school together.

The next time they talk they plan to have Coach Kelly involved.

Wants to visit:

“I’m busy with baseball right now, but Notre Dame is definitely a school I plan on visiting,” Hunter Jr. said. “I could see myself going up there sometime during the summer, possibly in June or July. I want to check out the surrounding area and get a better understanding of the academics there.”

No leaders...narrow down at beginning of season.

How many WRs are we taking? If DeMarcus Robinson were to commit before him would that affect if we take him? Obviously I'm assuming we hit our targets at other positions and don't have 20357230273403248 left over scholarships.

It would be awesome if he could play corner at 6'2.

My daughter goes to school with both these kids. The one who was charged is bad news. He moved down here two years ago from Grand Blanc, MI. He's a son from another mother. He's in a gang. The gang is into fighting i.e. a fight club and gang bangin girls and video taping the results. The one you are recruiting she says he's a pretty nice kid. I think his height is exagerated. I'm 6-2, he's shorter than me. Prosper coddles football players and the grades he's reporting should be taken with a grain of salt. See how he does on standardized tests. Regardless, my wife subbed at this highschool. The attitude of some of these atheletes is one of complete entitlement and they do very little in school. Not saying this is Torii Hunters attitude but the academics at Prosper are not rigorous so I wonder if he's prepared for the challenge of Notre Dame student athletics? Maybe he is and I don't want to short him but I'm just saying you might temper your enthusiasm and check this prospect out closley.

Respectfully -Go Blue!
Peace!

not really any of our business is it.... this is a football forum, not a parenting forum.

Captain, do you not see the irony, by destroying the humans because of their destructive capabilities we have become like...do you see what we've...see what we've done?

Rooming with Corey Robinson at The Opening and ND still apparently has high interest

This guys rankings all over the map. ESPN has him in their top 150. But another service has him as the 90+ WR, and other services place him in the 40s at WR.

Per tunnel vision we are in his top 5 and ND is in line for a summer visit. He feels he is a fit for Nd and their commits.

Corey Robinson put in work.

Good to hear. I like him. Sapp was saying that Hunter moved up the board when Keeon Johnson committed to UVa. I think I like Hunter more, especially since we already have Robinson, who is more the same mold as Keeon Johnson.

Are we becoming THE school for sons/nephews of famous athletes? The Golics and Kiel made sense, since they have ND in the family, but there are also the Atkinsons and Collinsworth and now Robinson, Mattingly, and hopefully Hunter. It's starting to feel like a trend.

Someday we might even have Montanas.

Hunter won MVP of The Opening. He certainly should get at the very least a 4 star on every site.

I like this kids game a lot. Only thing that worries me is that he might chose the baseball route.

ND is one of the schools pursuing him the hardest. Will visit in the next few weeks.

I'm still worried he will chose baseball over football.

Edit: BTW Mattingly isn't in the hall of fame and probably never will be.

I think he was planning on focusing on baseball but with recent high praise and a good performance at The Opening as shifted towards football
