Tebow rips Brady Quinn and ND

I'm not a Tebow fan by any means, but I also don't hate on the guy simply because he's positive and seems to be in a good mood all the time. It's as if we're always looking for something to hate on him about. Until it's something more substantial than just "being a douche"...I'll give the guy credit for his attitude despite the fact that everyone is constantly telling him he can't or ripping him.

And I realize he's poking a domer...but that domer has done even less than Tebow in his short NFL career.

My post should have been in italics, but it was dripping with sarcasm, so I did not think it necessary. Anyway, I do think he is douchey and creepy..... as well as annoying. I really would like nothing more but for him to just go away.

I am currently reading his autobiography and I think Tebows got a large ego. He didnt want to play FB or LB. He transfers to the central part of Florida in High School to just play QB.

So? What's wrong with that? A lot of guys transfer high schools all the time.

Again, I don't see what the problem with him is.....

Besides, what NFL player doesn't have ego? It's good for you when you're on the field.

This is just plain funny to me... mostly because Tebow 100% did not have an opportunity to play at Notre Dame. To my knowledge Weis did not recruit and signed two other 4 QBs that year.

I appreciate Tim Tebow for being a hardworker and a winner. But for all of Florida's "speed" they have ONE skill position players drafted in the top 2 rounds over the past 3 years not named Tim Tebow. Notre Dame has had 5.

I read his autobiography too. I think he just didn't want people telling him what he couldn't do. And I say his college career did more than enough to prove them wrong.

Props to him for not giving up on his dream....

I'm not a Tebow fan, but his comments to me are harmless. Just locker room razzing. His comments to Quinn though are painfully on point though. Until late, we have lacked true speed. Things are different now. Hoping ND meets the Gators soon, and Quinn can return the razzing... Again, not a Tebow fan. I think he's over the top drama, but I respect the guy for his beliefs, not giving up on his dreams, and ignoring the doubters.

If Quinn brought this on by putting down other schools, then whatever, but there's nothing wrong with being proud of one's alma mater. The linked blog post portrays this is a gratuitous shot at Notre Dame by Tebow, which, as Lax pointed out, isn't even accurate.

No reason to get worked up over it, but I don't understand why some here are defending him when he took a cheap shot at our favorite school.

It wasn't aimed at you, but since you mentioned it, what painful truth did Tebow reveal about ND? He didn't have an offer from ND, so the bit about him having "opportunities" and choosing "not to go there" isn't true. And the shot about ND having no players that run under a 5.0? Lifted this from the comments of a blog post on this subject:

Florida hasn't had the upper hand on anyone lately in the SEC so he had to find someone to attack.

Notre Dame was an easy target.
Not a lot of recent success and everyone in the south hates us.
It was a cheap laugh/cheer and if anything shows his lack of creativity.
Truly doubt he meant any real malice.

Whiskey...Obviously he is busting Brady's balls and Brady was probably busting his balls in the locker room also. Obviously Tebow wasn't be serious when he said. It was a freakin Florida booster club event. Remember some of things Weis said at events like this. One comes to mind about MSU.

Regarding taking a shot, I think this is just two guys busting each others balls. Both of them obviously passionate about their schools. I dismiss it as lockerroom smack.

Well, just my opinion, but if ole Timmy (I shall now and forever refer to Timmy as "him") was as selfless as he pretends to be, why is he so insistant on only playing QB. I know they are saying he will play multiple positions, but in every interview I have heard, he only talks about "him" playing QB. I think if "him" was really a humble, team over me player, he would talk about playing pulling guard if needed. He11, I bet there are a lot of guys coming into training camp that would play any position, fill the water bottles, wash the uniforms, and clean the toilets to have the opportunity that "him" has. I would not be surprised if it doesn't come out later that he had to call Tiger and get the number for a counselor for his sex addiction. I remember being that age. If I had a girl like he had in his arm with me & didn't get anything from her, I would A) find an ugly girl and turn the lights off & pretend it was big boobie Betsy, or 2) go through a couple of bottles of KY jelly.

Also, it wouldn't surprise me for "him" to be the leader of the next big cult that grabs our attention. Come on, can't you see "him" walking around his compound wearing nothing but a toga robe with his arms spread wide. Telling his followers that he is the way. Telling them that by following "him" they to can fool the masses. This is where his sex addiction will kick into overdrive because he will have to personally "touch" all of the women that follow "him".

It obviously bothered Brady. He was a scheduled to go on Mike and Mike this morning to discuss the ND in Ireland raffle and he also wanted to discuss the Tebow comments. He was taken off by the producers because they didn't want him discussing the Tebow stuff. Those of you that follow him on twitter can see that it pissed him off.

Quinn is a better QB on all measurables except running, and he isn't shabby there either.

Sad tuth is Quinn was not able to create value for himself in the ****** situations he was in...he did get a shot, and he did not get it done. In KC...who knows.

Tebow is under the delusion that Florida won because he was the quarterback. The reality is that Tebow would have sat behind Brady Quinn, Demetrius Jones, and Evan Sharpley had he attended Notre Dame. Or he could have opted to be a back-up linebacker.

The days of the rest of the team saving Tebow's *** are over. Stand up and produce on the field or move aside. Tebow is nothing but an average to below average NFL player.

Brady Quinn carried the ND team on his back for two years. If ND had the Florida defense during those two years, Quinn would have the national championship, not Tebow.

I don't mean to single you out, since several other people in this thread have said the same thing. Why are so many ND fans willing to assume that Quinn made disparaging remarks about Florida? If he had, it obviously justifies Tebow's comments to a certain extent, but we have no evidence of it.

A former Gator publicly disparages ND, and many ND fans automatically assume it was justified, without any evidence, because Quinn might have disparaged UF. Is "Battered Fan Syndrome" is a thing? Have a little pride.
