“For Mackensie to go anywhere is a step closer than most anyone else has gotten with him,” Immokalee head coach Ackley told IrishIllustrated.com. “Mackensie, even though he initially committed to Tennessee and backed off, he hasn’t gone on any things like a lot of kids do that are national recruits. This will be a good experience for him. It’s gonna be a different world for him but I’m excited that he’s going to check it out because I think it’s a place he could be successful.”

Looks like Huermann is turning into a great recruiter. As far as the visit, I've been to Imokolee a few times. A very impoverished area. If the family doesn't have the financial means to let him make a lot of trips, then this is good news for the Irish. Especially since he's staying five days.

Any news or updates on MacKensie, I know it's a long weekend ahead, I'm not one to get on twitter and follow anyone, so I didn't know if anyone had seen or heard anything with MacKensie, I feel he's a important piece to our defense next year, a starter as he steps on campus. Obviously it means nothing until his LOI being signed but it's good to get these guys in early so they can build a bond with eachother, which would make it harder for them to decommit later down the road. Especially with the type of moxy and relationship that this IrishMOB 13 carry with themselves already, seems like a tough bond to break once your in the inner circles with these guys.

The Grubster made sure we knew. I thought it was interesting that Mike was surprised by the visit too. Hopefully he has a good time this weekend and we continue to stay towards the top of his list.

They are both amazing better than any corner from last years cycle and the cycle before that.
I would say dont get too excited I will give a breakdown of ND chances with Alexander like I did with VH3 after his trip is over.

No, no one can talk to him while he's on campus. Supposed to be there until Monday.

Te'o. He is a dominate college football player. We can't say that about Mackenzie yet. Ask again in 4 years but I don't see Mackenzie joining the Irish family.
