Really stoked to get this kid! You gotta love the battles Kelly and Meyer are gonna have. I think Kelly and his staff, have done an excellent job so far in recruiting. Last year was the craziest thing I have seen in a single recruiting cycle. You have to think that Kelly has learned from that and it seems to show, I can't remember ever having this many verbals so early.

The forthright honesty from this staff surely must be playing a major role in the success of the 2013 class thus far, no? I mean, I agree with you completely. They're just honest guys. They don't lie about the difficulties at ND. They don't lie about position assignments. They get out there, show film, and bring out Notre Dame's weaknesses as much as their strengths to each recruit. They care more about getting a recruit who will not only sign, but stay at Notre Dame, than they do about just filling up their ledger with studs only to pare the list down later... cough Saban cough.

If I were a recruit, this would certainly be more refreshing than any other staff out there. It makes them natural recruiters in a different way than anyone else in the country.

I lve the way this staff has turbocharged the recruiting process. I have a feeling the haul of elite recruits isn't over for 2013.

As a Colts fan, I loved the way Clark could blow by guys down the middle. I'm excited about Fleenor doing the same thing, but being a much better blocker than Clark was. This clip of what Fleenor does with the sumo wrestlers is awesome. The guy has power.

So we show footage from losses of blown plays and ask the recruits if they would make the same mistakes insinuating we would have won those same games and been in a BCS game with X in the game instead of what we had? Not sure many of those plays exist for TE though. However, I can see how it would have worked for Gunner and Zaire.

Talks to Anzalone daily, he talks to Malik, texts with Elmer, talks with Jaylon, Robinson, Rochell all the time and really likes how close everyone has become.

Also said a lot of recruits get caught up on Bama, LSU, and Southern Cal but they don't look at what ND is and was. Said its a "hands down no brainer" once you see the big picture with ND.

Is that really all it was? Couldn't make the grades? If so I can understand and not be so upset over it. I hadn't ever really thought of this though with Deontay. I have heard about Tee of coarse don't know if it's true, about the grades but not Tay-B.

The only thing I remember is the post that gbry's mom made the night before signing day on facebook.

Agreed with you on Tee. ND was great at helping Tee out saving face.

My problem is with gbry. I don't belive that he had the same problem Tee did because Kelly or no one on his staff had any inkling that he was pulling the Houston, until it happened. No, I have clearly been informed that grades did not have time to enter into it. Feb is before June, when the grading period ended, and he had above the minimum ACT score. I believe in giving a kid a break, but factual accuracy, and personal responsibility are in order.
