Drinking rules of beer di:
Drinking rules:
- 5 drinks to finish your whole cup
- if you say 5 (bizz) or 7 (buzz) you drink
- if it doesn't go half way you drink
- if it's not 6 feet you drink
- if it lands on the table and it's not a 5 up, you drink (5 up, shooting team drinks)
- if you overshoot the table you drink
- if it knicks the cup, it's a dead ball (meaning you cannot score on it after it bounces off of the cup), but you have to drink
One offs*
- if you hit the table, it goes 6 feet and half way, but bounces outside of the two cups on the corner, its essentially a dead ball - has to go between the cups to score.
- if it hits one cup (typically dead) but shoots across and hits the other cup too, its a point.
- if you sink a cup, it's a point and you finish your beer
- if both players score in the same turn, you get di back
- if both players score in the same turn, when the other team is 'returning' the di to them they slide the di across the table and if it lands as a paper football touchdown (very hard to do), you dont have to give them the di back because its negated.
- Each team gets one 'fair catch' a game. But when you 'fair catch' you are volunteering for you and your partner to finish your entire drink, and the trade off is the di that is in the air can NOT score. So for example, if it's game point and someone shoots a high arching di that looks like it's going to be tough to catch, you could burn your 'fair catch' so you save yourself in case you drop it. That said, when the di misses the table and the shooting team would otherwise have to take a drink for doing so and wouldn't have ended up scoring, you and your partner still have to finish your whole drinks. It makes for a GREAT argument when one team member decides its fair catch time
