I don't know if it's been mentioned, but apparently Anderlecht, Roma, and Inter all have interest in Yedlin. He's about to blow up like crazy. Sounders and MLS are gonna get paid.

There is also a chance our 2016 Olympic team has players from Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, and Arsenal.

And the way MLS works transfers, Sounders will be able to keep a large sum of it since he is a HGP. He's gonna be the most expensive MLS transfer ever

Jurgen said that we are bringing in youth and focusing on '91s to '99s. We will see if they also play in the Gold Cup. I expect Beasley, Jones, Dempsey, Howard, Beckerman, and Wondo to be phased out slowly. Guys like Luis Gil, Will Trapp, Shane O'Neill, Paul Arriola, Joe Gyau, Junior Flores, Erik Palmer-Brown, Jordan Morris, Josh Perez, Harry Shipp, Cody Cropper, and Marc Pelosi will be brought in soon.

I fully agree with Beasley, Jones, Beckerman slowly leaving..Beasley and Beckerman quicker than Jones..

Wondo gone tomorrow..

Full expect Howard to compete for the #1 WC spot in '18...

As bad as this sounds... kind of think Neymar deserved to have a real injury after all of the faking he does, plus the fact that he purposely initiates so much contact to try and draw penalties. Crazy how his reaction for getting kneed in the back is the same as his reaction for not getting touched at all.

Agreed man, that game was just ridiculous. Mr Dive Neymar. Also the penalty that they gave to Luis was totally exaggerated.

He's out for the World Cup w/ a fractured vertebrae. C'mon now u can't honestly think he deserves this. Yes he flops a lot but no one deserves an injury like that and missing the rest of the WC IMO

Eh, I wouldn't wish an injury on anyone. I fractured my L-4 and L-5 in middle school and it sucked.

But I'm certainly not losing sleep over him missing the World Cup with injury when he pretends to have a catastrophic injury a dozen times a game. Even the commentators and fans thought he was faking again until he got carried all the way off the field and had a sub come in. Classic boy who cried wolf.

Injury is actually minor, judging by how he was transported and how long he will wear a brace for:
Brazil's team doctor Jose Luiz Runco has told ESPN that Neymar, who is being accompanied by father Neymar da Silva Sr, will undergo rest and medication, while wearing a brace, "for about 15 days."

My fractures were "minor" (i.e. didn't require surgery or a prosthetic vertebrae), and I had to wear a full brace for 4x as long.

So it's just more sensational whining over a 2 week injury. Might as well be a slight hamstring pull. No sympathy.

Sucks for him, and the country. I wanted Germany to beat the crap out of them with all their starters but oh well.

Anyone think Costa Rica has got a shot?

Yes. I don't think the Dutch are as good as people think, and I think Costa Rica is a lot more gritty and talented than people give them credit for. I've got Holland 2-1 in my pool, but I could just as easily see CR edging them out 2-1 or 1-0. Any Given Saturday.

I'll be cheering for CONCACAF

Liverpool is also supposedly joining the Yedlin sweepstakes.

I would not be disappointed in this.

They will be in the US for a tour soon and he could go on trial. I doubt he will get a work visa for England though. Might have to go on loan if they sign him. Would Seattle allow him a trial in the middle of their season after missing games for the World Cup?

This game is case and point why penalty kicks is the worst way to decide a game. Netherlands has dominated and now it becomes a coin flip.

4 great teams left. Germany has to be the favorite but i think Argentina is going to win it all. Just my gut feeling.
