As far as the WC goes he is not a defender. He literally plays no defense except in the middle third by applying pressure. He has 2 interceptions and 2 clearances ( defensive actions). Brooks has 11 in 1 game. Besler and Cameron have 28. Even Beasley has done more defending (15).
He really is a strong side midfielder. Maybe during qualifying he did more but I cant think of it. Since he has been named the RB in friendlies and WC he is a attacking midfielder really.

Yep. He has incredible pace and there were several times last night he cut inside and looked DANGEROUS. Fabulous left foot too.
Yedlin has an entire gear that we have been missing.

I have to add this, I think it’s clear to anyone that knows soccer (which may excuse my guys Cack and 23 right there if they continue with their insane Omar hate) that Omar is not totally healthy right now, or wasn’t in the critical lead up… if he were I find it hard to believe he wouldn’t be starting in the middle.

He has had one poor game and one really bad play at the end of another... but he is easily one of our best and most important players... the fact we have points in both games without him on his A game is a positive guys...

Most regions get '3 OR 4', or '4 OR 5'... the OR representing a final team that has to playoff against another 'OR' team from another region... instead of saying 3 OR 4 23 just dropped the 3.5...

I'm still crushed over the ending of the game. I hate how we have to hope for a beneficial result in the Ghana-Portugal game. I can't bank on a win or draw against a German team with an extra 27 hours of rest.

I honestly didn't even think it was that bad. I want to see it again now since so many people seem to feel so strongly about it, and I can't find a clip of it, but I remember it being as much a failure to win a tough ball as a giveaway.
EDIT: Yeah, here is a clip. It was really more of a 50/50 ball that Bradley failed to win, no? Not his best moment but Cameron and Johnson deserve more responsibility for the goal (although both were really solid for most of the game, so I don't mean to dump on them).
