If you are Dempsey how do you not rip that right there?

That's MO. I don't know shit about soccer, but it always seems everyone would rather play patty cakes than rip one.

Well good news is that we have 4 years to completely retool the midfield.

Also, anyone else think Donovan buries that chance Wondo flubbed?

Got out of the Group of Death, while England went home winless. At least the Limeys can drink a warm glass of STFU instead of tea the rest of the summer.

I think Julian Green made more positive runs in one minute on the pitch than Bedoya and Zusi made combined the whole rest of the game.

Not a soccer fan but I can say I genuinely enjoyed watching this World Cup.

Huge questions in my mind right now.

1. Why the hell is Wondo on the field. The dude is an inferior player.

2. There is a reason Julian Green plays for Bayern Munich. Why the fuk isnt he on the field developing?

3. Dempsey played poorly today, but he still battled hard.

4. Zusi.... no bueno

5. Besler is the best defesemen we have other than Beasley.

6. I have no idea what happened to Bradley, but he struggled early in the game and finally got going and did what he does best.

Huge questions in my mind right now.

1. Why the hell is Wondo on the field. The dude is an inferior player. Yeah, his entire job is to finish opportunities like that and he just flubs it for no reason. Shame. Obviously, he doesn't see the field if Altidore could go.

2. There is a reason Julian Green plays for Bayern Munich. Why the fuk isnt he on the field developing? Maybe he looked so good because he was fresh while everyone else was gassed but you do really have to wonder if he was the sub to make instead of Wondo. I can see why you wouldn't start him though.

3. Dempsey played poorly today, but he still battled hard. Was he sick? Just looked out of it all game and had some head scratchers.

4. Zusi.... no bueno WTF, indeed. Midfield was dreadful for most of the tourney minus Jermaine Jones. Really have to question Donovan being left off the roster as he could've played a role there.

5. Besler is the best defesemen we have other than Beasley. Played really, really well today. Was disappointed in all of his help, especially how the midfield let up so many open breaks.

6. I have no idea what happened to Bradley, but he struggled early in the game and finally got going and did what he does best. Of all the players I thought he played the most below his talents in the world cup.

Good post. Bolded my thoughts.

2018 can be a tournament to remember for the US. The future has never looked this brighter. The US has come a long way in soccer. Keep the heads up and the development pushing.

Seeing Origi and Lukaku and taking account Dempsey and Wondo's performance makes me realize A) how much we missed Altidore B) I would have included Eddie Johnson over Wondo as a backup striker.

It's just so ironic that Wondo makes the team as the "right place, right time" goalscorer... Klinsmann inserts him to be that guy and maybe steal the game... and he gets an absolute bunny and flubs it.
