Koonja...you look different. You had a face lift didn't you?

Welcome to fútbol mate.
Other big names in Futbol Brazil has Neymar Jr, Spain has Pique (dating Shakira) and Iniesta,
Luis Suarez for Uruguay, Gianluigi Buffon for Italy...

Well, here, check this
#WorldCupRank -- The Top 50 - ESPN FC

Colombia played today and won. They're a great team to pull for! :)
Also, England vs Italy will be a big matchup. And then Portugal plays a big contender in Germany.

Ready to..... lose? To Colombia? Great. We're ready to win...by 3 :). I told you not to place that bet! I knew Colombia would be better than everyone thought..even without Falcao. 16 years without going to the WC is going to be motivating in itself.

Everyone told me I was so dumb to root for Colombia and they got no chance. I'm real happy to see them do well. Hope it stays this way...but Greece could just be worse than we think.

Thanks!

For a couple of teams that aren't hyped up, this Costa Rica and Uruguay game has been exciting.

Wow, thank you.

Can someone explain how the hell that 3rd goal by Costa Rica was not off-sides? He was pretty clearly behind the defender.

Maybe I'm not understanding the rule correctly.

For the tournament? So if you get a red card in the last minutes it carries over to next game?

I know nothing about Soccer other than what I've learned from you guys and watching today... But kicked out of the next game for that?

Too harsh.

Yeah red cards are Automatic disqualification plus a ban from next match. If it is a bad challenge he could more after the tournament.

Pretty sure if carries over and team must play with 10 players next game if I remember correctly I could be wrong

Yeah cause that would be insane, Cacky must be correct. But still, that is pretty brutal.

Cacky, what did you mean by, "if it is a bad challenge it could be more after the tournament"?
Meaning if the offense was severe he could be penalized beyond the World Cup? Or there was a way to challenge the severity of the penalty and he could play next game?

thanks

A straight red card which Pierera got for that ridiculous challenge means FIFA can review it and add further match bans to the single game ban (mandatory). If they think it was bad enough he could be gone for the group round at least.

Sorry. I probably should not have said "after." Basically FIFA can add more games because it was a straight red card

Forza Azzurri!!!

Also, the USA must be feeling confident based on the Mexico and Uruguay results so far considering we won the Hex.

Pour* :)

How do they look over all? They play Colombia next and I'm wondering if Colombia can handle them.

My ideal scenario is Greece beating Japan + Colombia beating Ivory Coast handily. Then Greece holds its fate in its hands.

But in all likelihood Colombia and Ivory Coast will both advance.
