Fickell attributes another 2H collapse to ND mentally, emotionally handling it better, hinting at continuity versus heavy portal roster in contrast to Wisconsin

I don’t think either Joey or Ethan got on the field did they. Joey will pick 6 on his first play at ND stadium.

Not sure Prister could have been more dour about a 28 point win. The fixation on throwing downfield for the sake of throwing downfield is odd. If MF and O'Malley's kids didn't play flag football together, I think he would have gone Mutombo on the question in the press conference. Carr executed within the play exceptionally well. The drives that stalled out were not due to Greathouse or Gilbert not being explosive. They were due to getting behind the sticks, protection breakdowns, and the greatest punt of all time.

Take the (convincing) win and get better.

ND scored on 3 of 7 first half possessions. The 4 they did not:
1) Opening drive ruined by false start and sack-fumble
2) Backed up on own 1 from incredible Wiscy punt
3) Bad drive
4) End of half (didn't attempt to score)
ND scored TDs on 3 of 3 second half possessions - literally can't do better than that.

So take away the 1st drive jitters and an incredible punt pinning us on own 1 yard line and ND basically scored on 6 of 7 possessions.

Was I hearing the podcast correctly? Was he criticizing Traore’s play? If so, I’ve never been more convinced that either 1.) he doesn’t watch the game or 2.) he has zero idea what he’s watching.

Same. I thought BT had a solid game, particularly against the run.

The "Bad drive" was also undone by a sus holding call.

Also throw in the hesitation to let your Heisman candidate QB throw on 2nd and 17 and run the ball instead. There was no reason to give up on that drive after the nullified completion they just made down the field.

Sometimes I’m reminded 2 of MF biggest influences are Tressel and Fickell. Lot of hand wringing after a 41-13 W.

Knapp may be the best player on this team. Craig is really good. Will Black is good, and will be really good. Same with Lambert.

Hope they can get RG figured out.

I kinda think Knapp could be our best interior OL since Nelson. The fact that he held down a tackle spot for two years when he is naturally a guard speaks to his talent (and drive), and now we have good enough tackles that he can play his best position. It will help the running game, too.

The way people have been talking about him since Sunday has me wondering if this is the last season we'll have of Knapp. That'll only happen if he plays incredibly well, so I'd take it

That punt BTW was one of the best I've ever seen.

It's in Madison too and we know how arduous those chartered flights to the Midwest in October are for the USC football team.
