Why we hate Michigan

2. Beat Scum in the big house in 2005

Oh yeah the academic prestige thing... Ugh. M is just like any other large public. Lots of opportunities available to a generally underwhelming student body (got to accept a majority from just one state, remember). Sure, they do more research than the average institution but I don't see how prof whatever's work on something means you learned more in his class when he was always in the lab, ignoring his mediocre students. They're not better than OSU or any other school where the student body is eclectic and the opportunities are there for exceptional students.

Ouch! Really cutting me deep here! My friends who are engineering and science based majors echo a lot of your words though regarding large public schools. .. Not that NDSU is "large" by most of the country but we run into those same problems.

As I remember it, Ohio University was doing a campaign something along the line of "Ohio's State University". Ohio State got pissed about it and when Ohio refused to stop using that line, OSO cam up with the stupid "The Ohio State". Seemed like OSU lacks a little self confidence if they were worried about the smaller school.

I hate that scrawny douchebag Desmond Howard who is the biggest toolbag on the College Gameday show, hands down. Not to mention he was a free agent bust for my Raiders in 1997.

Their fans are some of the biggest bitches and give USC fans a run for their money. They never stop crying about how we fired Ty Willingham because of his race. They love to point out our losses to top schools but when they lost to Appalachian (sp) State a few years back and I was gonna give shit back at them they all have an outrage and start crying foul about how I couldn't give them a taste of their own medicine.
