Who are we even in the ballpark of landing this weekend that would be more popcorn than a guy who can walk in and start on week one?Did anyone ask ISD if Carter was the popcorn commit?
Potential starter pickup =buttered popcorn for meCarter was the popcorn commit. Obviously a big pick up but guessing for the backstory of spurning BK.
Ryan Roberts actually interviewed Carter on Friday, and he was committed by then, (not publicly yet), so there was confusion to whether some sites were talking about him or a ‘24 recruit.Who are we even in the ballpark of landing this weekend that would be more popcorn than a guy who can walk in and start on week one?

Then Loy came out and said “possibly another commit,” which is the question mark?
My reasoning for wonder is that there are a handful of guys visiting in June who are involved in situations with 2 spots for 3-4 recruits.I feel like “and possibly another!” is Loy’s go-to line when they know someone is about to pop.
Differentiates 247 from the competition at a time when all outlets are boosted based on the buzz… gets them a boost beyond the standard commit bump just by hyping something they don’t actually have to materially back up.
Great write up. Now the question is how many kids are we willing to push the scholly limit for?My reasoning for wonder is that there are a handful of guys visiting in June who are involved in situations with 2 spots for 3-4 recruits.
So maybe one of them decided not to take the chance & committed early?
I mean, I’m shocked Prescod didn’t commit at the Spring Game, & now his spot might be gone. They would have taken his commitment then, and then waited on Lambert. Now it seems they like Brix more & if both want in they would take Brix & Prescod would have to wait and hope Lambert goes elsewhere.
I could see a similar situation at LB with Kahoun, now that Rezac committed, and ND had KVA & Cole above him, he might have to jump aboard with Huff also visiting.
And at DE, ND will wait for Rushing, but love Williams & Thomas. So does one of those two jump in early?
Maybe at RB? ND has Young, Carrie & Xavier all coming in for one spot.
Then there is the WR/TE position. ND might have told Jason Robinson & Carter Nelson that they can’t take both another WR & TE, so first come first serve?
I think there will be a chance kids commit beforehand to secure a spot.
Yeah bc I think most names on that list especially anyone not named Kahoun you can play the filling up to get em in the boat but I think you take regardlessGreat write up. Now the question is how many kids are we willing to push the scholly limit for?
Going to be tough to land a top 10 class at this rate.
Only if you think ND doesn't add any more 4-star prospects.
You may be overreacting to two three-star LB's committing lol
I don’t know that Top 10 was in the cards to begin with. They’ll have to hit on everyone.Going to be tough to land a top 10 class at this rate.
Aren't 6 or 7 of our 9 commits we've received in calendar year 23, 3 stars? Maybe 1 or 2 top 250 kids in the last 9 monthsOnly if you think ND doesn't add any more 4-star prospects.

ND only has 5 total 3 Stars on the composite.Aren't 6 or 7 of our 9 commits we've received in calendar year 23, 3 stars? Maybe 1 or 2 top 250 kids in the last 9 months
Then that's a really big problem.I don’t know that Top 10 was in the cards to begin with. They’ll have to hit on everyone.
10-4, I assume we've landed all most recently? We had a stud beginning to the 24 class, most of whom i consider our top commits in the class other than Aneyas committed last summer.ND only has 5 total 3 Stars on the composite.
Then 11 either 4 or 5 Stars.
I mean … it’s certainly not ideal.Then that's a really big problem.

It really depends on how they finish.I mean … it’s certainly not ideal.
I think the second scenario is the most likely of those three you presented. It really depends on how they finish.
If they finish with Scott, Rushing, Thomas, KVA, Beasley, Lambert, Brix, Kedren Young, Carter Nelson, Jason Robinson…they will challenge top 5.
If they finish with none of Scott, Rushing, Beasley, Nelson, etc… they will finish outside top 10, 12-15 range.
If they land Lambert, Brix, KVA, Thomas, Young, Robinson, they will be around 10.
So they are going to be between 275-285, depending on which kids they get.
I know I rag on 247 constantly but the big get your popcorn ready was two three stars and a transfer from Rhode Island. Swell.

A five star commit. Dude played corner for FCS team. Lets chill out a bit. He has to play a whole new position in a few months.Carter for two years, so a Starter for two years at a major P5 program, is the equivalent of a 5 Star HS commitment, because most of them don’t start as freshmen, not even Hamilton did, and start two years and leave.
The difference is you really don’t know what you are getting in a HS kid, but you already do in Carter.
Playing against FCS, FBS & even some P5 teams for a couple years is infinitely better than playing against HS kids.
