Freeman wants to overturn the roster because he knows he can add massive top level talent. The quickest way to do that is maximize early classes. I'd be shocked if we go under 25 in his first official class.

I think Freeman will try to balance experience/youth but I do not expect nearly as many 5th years over Freeman's tenure....unless he starts capitalizing on the grad transfer market.

I'll be interested to see what the staff does once the bulk of the class is committed. Caleb Downs, Ausberry, Love and possibly flipping a QB have to be at the top of the list. I'd imagine they go after some big fish, committed or otherwise as well. Anything can happen between now and NSD.

Says Flores committed during his OV to ND but the IB staff was still worried about OSU. After that was cancelled they didn’t want to put a dancing gif up because it would have been obvious.
So there are still 4 more kids who haven’t gone public yet.

you are right about this as our irish were in good shape with Dante but sometimes things just change with recruits

Then Shaun develops relationships with recruits & their families. Singer has admitted publicly he doesn’t care about ND. Privately, to other mods, he has complained about ND & it’s fans, & calls his subscribers names. It bothers the other mods. Singer doesn’t appreciate ND or how lucky he is to cover it. He complains about travel to see recruits or to South Bend. He is annoyed by it & doesn’t do shit.

This is patently false, Singer has multiple pieces a week with quotes from kids. Driskell said he can't get in touch with Emmett Mosley who doesn't return any requests, funny enough Singer was able to get in touch with him Notre Dame legacy Emmett Mosley raves about Notre Dame visit

Ryan Roberts seems legit to me. I doubt he stays with IB long, it’ll damage his credibility. Shaun D. is a hard read because so much of what he says is BS speculation it’s easy to get it confused with real reporting. Driskell does work hard, but with recruiting his thing is to act like he knows something, not share it, then after the fact claim he new all along — there is no value in that type of “intel”. Singer might not get it right all the time, but I respect that he puts himself out there and doesn’t hide behind his “sources” — I just wish he’d shave that thing on his face.

I’m guessing you don’t know Singer, or Driskell, or any of the ND guys or college football recruiting guys? I do. I was the one way back in 2019 on BGI Rivals who warned everyone against EJ Holland because I knew him from his time at 247 Texas.
I could write pages of things about the different guys, but I won’t. But I can tell you that Singer is the laziest of all the coverage guys. The new Rivals’ ND guy, Kyle Kelly, is already doing better than Singer is.
If you want to go down this road, I can all day.

I give Reaper the benefit of the doubt because he seems to be a pretty reliable poster in my short time here. But, I could not agree more with your last sentence. That was my experience at IB as well.

Not to help devolve this thread into Talking Heads too much, but I can’t listen to Singer. One, I can’t stomach his ADHD in his Youtube videos. Half the topics that are brought up are never resolved.

Second, his attempts to be the neutral voice of reason annoy the hell out of the homer in me. Stuff like we might have a chance be a top 10 class in 23, top 5 if we keep it up. I don’t want to hear that in the middle of this recruiting run. Suffered enough when Flutie was doing color.

I'm a complete addict when it comes to mainline-ing nearly any and all ND Football information into my veins, but The Shamrock and Irish Illustrated are pretty much the only pods I can stomach anymore.

Theyre very good and professionally done, the rest are pretty damn painful for the most part.

B&G- Singer just seems aloof to me sometimes, love Ryan Roberts though and Ashly Polard (sp) is decent, Patrick Engel is solid. Tyler Horka is young, so I give him some slack. I do love the segments with Mike Goolsby.

One Foot Down- great pod, seems like just a couple of guys at a bar talking sports, they are marathons though.

IB- How much fucking merch do you have to show, good grief. Flags, hat, shirts, I saw one YT vid and there were 8 items on there...I mean come on. I agree w/ a lot of the other posters, Driskell is just an insecure pompous buffoon, and it pisses me off how he treats Vince DeDario. I recall an episode where Driskell made a comment about Vince using too many "umms" and they "had talked about how to get better at that" You call out an employee about a shortcoming and put him on blast in front of subscribers? He’s just a terrible boss, you never disclose 1v1 personal developments like that and put him on blast. I do enjoy the player breakdown vids though.

ISD is a solid pod, Mike Frank is pretty negative sometimes and that does bother me.
