Conclusions?

When the focus is there on a QB, they land early.

If it's not a QB, it's an OL. The years where OL's first, QB recruiting is full of question marks and debate, though it did work out ok in '16.

I'm never afraid to get in way early on someone whose film I like... and I like Spellman. Put him on the board the first time last summer when he was doing zoom sessions with Danny Hernandez...

BUT

The fact that no one has offered yet worries me in this case. Here's a kid working with one of the most respected national QB coaches, who lives in metro Milwaukee, who's been to the Elite 11 regional and other camps, has a season of starting QB film... and still no offers not even Illinois State, Northern Iowa, a Dakota school, Northern Illinois. etc...???

It doesn't compute and it's been making my spidey senses go off for 9 months. I predicted he would blow up last Oct when he started tweeting his film yet here we are... still.

One other thing to remember is who he tags on his film tweets. The Wiscy guy from Rivals.


I trust going after Dorman more right now but I just want him to wrap 2023 up. #JustSayin!

I just CB/FC'd Trevor Lauck to ND.

He fits the formula and will have his day with Quinn on June 6th. And his Grandpa Chick will be there too for the big tie in and wrap up.

He’s very bullish on our chances with Bowen, I might be skeptical just due to his high rating but that is not out of the question in his theoretical line

trying to not get hopes up on Tate because objectively it would make sense he chooses OSU but not sure this isn’t a more important recruit for 2023, Tate has the potential in himself to be game breaker at WR and a early commitment he seems to have a “Oh Carnell is going to ND?” vibe to him. I mean Dante Moore came down from Detroit and spent his visit with Tate’s family.
