People seem to be counting Gilliam as a part of the class already. I simply do not share that optimism, at least not yet.

yeah I've read its 50/50, until he says something public I am not counting that egg as a chicken.

I can see where everyone is feeling optimistic. He hasn't shut down anything about ND while being an OU commit. Typically if you are 100% committed, that gets shut down really quick to avoid the drama.

Is this class looking to be bigger than we thought? I didn't realize we had so many spots, although I know the number of schollies available are going to be weird cause COVID.

Per BGI, minus Abiara, that makes 22. And the staff will push for 25. They’d still take Wright, at least 1 RB, and another DL. Another possible name to know is WDE, Devin Aupiu.

Now, I don’t know how far down the chain they’d go but sounds like they want a full class.

I've not heard any real smoke about names, but ISD seems to think that the new transfer rule could lead to an exodus.

thanks and reps.

Given the weird #s situation with Covid, I was thinking they'd go for 24-25.

Devin Aupiu, looked at him last week. At 215/6-4 seems like he'd need a lot of S&C, and cheeseburgers over a few years to do WDE. Dude is a rail.

Abiara, is he really gone?

I think we could see a small exodus, but also and an in-odus. I think the exodus would be limited mostly to JRs and SRs not in the two deep.

Looks unanimous, Abiara will not be in the class.

It’s semantics, but 24 currently. Minus Abiara is 23. DL. RB for at least a couple more.

Lessor contributors who could make moves in offseason in the rising senior and junior class is about 10. Let’s see how many in this brave new world of transfers move on. We should also be in the market for another group coming in. Maybe a QB, RB, WR, DB for starters

Thanks. Anything more than the usual? He still has his 100% committed tweet pinned to his twitter. I thought maybe we pulled the offer after the arrest (and drama), but also thought he'd jump quickly if that happened. Just totally strange.

Mike Singer hinted at us talking to a committed WR in the Big Ten. Anyone know who?

No idea, but searched top 247 WRs for fun.

scUM commit
Xavier Worthy 96.6 overall
Fresno, California

scUM?
Fresno?
It is written.

Also, this Marvin Harrison Jr has a good football sounding name.

I am beyond happy with our current WR haul, but stealing a stud from Michigan would just be the icing on the cake.

EDIT: Would also give us that much more flexibility with Styles. Having him at CB would be amazeballs.

I believe its Keagan Johnson who is committed to Iowa. Will probably offer if there is a spot available in the end, but I have a hard time seeing there being one.

I forget which one, but on one of the podcasts they were talking about how Del Alexander doesn't like to take large groups in a single class and that 3 is usually his limit. At the time it was in reference to Thornton. The consensus was that they were still in it with him and could/should take him (duh, amirite?). I wonder if the renewed interest in other WRs means that either they are considering positional flexibility with ones already committed (Styles) or that maybe someone isn't solid (can't imagine which of the current 3), or what...

Singer said they like him and would take him as a best available to fill out the class if they end up having a spot left. Gonna see how this class shakes out before offering. Im totally cool with any type of positional flexibility. Especially the wr/db type. Get as many Ath as you can and figure it out later. Said if ND does offer he thinks theres a solid chance of a flip.
