I didn't see an existing thread for this, but with the 2019 class almost wrapped up and the staff hitting the road recruiting before the playoffs, who pops next for 2020?

Are there any recruits we're in it for that have announcement dates or timelines?

Just because a recruit visits a school twice doesn’t mean they are definitely going there, but it does show a concerted effort to get to know the school and everything the university and football program has to offer. I do think someone can go to ND once, fall in love, and decide that’s the school for them, but for a lot of recruits it takes more than one visit to seal the deal at ND. Like KJ Wallace came to ND and fell in love and committed right away, but continued to pick up the phone when some schools called and when he came back for a second visit (or his third, don’t remember timeline), he basically said he was shutting it down and excited to get to ND. Anyway, I don’t see ND getting some pops on commitments before Christmas when the coaches are out seeing the recruits, except for a smaller list of guys who’ve been to ND more than once and experienced all or most of what ND has to offer...

.9775 4* WR AJ Henning
.9084 4* WR Daniel Jackson
.8982 3* OL Peter Skoronski
.9784 4* DL Darrion Henry
.9503 4* DL Cole Brevard
.9485 4* DL Rylie Mills
.8986 4* DL Aidan Keanaaina
.8880 3* DL Braiden McGregor
.9542 4* LB Kalel Mullings
.9619 4* DB Enzo Jennings

Henning I believe is going to take his time, but he’s been to ND more times than I can count and he definitely could pop at any time although I don’t think the kid will make a decision for a while. Jackson seems to be liking Texas A&M and ND a lot so I think it’ll take another round of visits in the spring but hopefully someone can sit him down this fall and get him to sign up. Skoronski is a guy who I think if the staff pushes hard for him he’d be Irish but there might be guys in front of him. Darrion Henry and Cole Brevard are two guys who the staff have done all the right things in terms of getting them on campus a lot, offering early, and staying on them, but I don’t think they end up at ND. Rylie Mills, Braiden McGregor, and Aidan Keanaaina are all a toss up as to who commits next cause I think all 3 like ND a great deal and have been to South Bend multiple times and in front of a game day crowd so they’ve seen what they need to see. Would love to grab all 3 but that would be tough, they are all wanted badly by other schools. Kalel Mullings has been to ND in March, July, and met Jaylon Smith in September in South Bend for a game. On top of that he came to NYC to see ND in November so if someone beats those recruiting trips then hats off to them cause ND has done just about everything to land Kalel. Enzo Jennings seems to like ND a whole bunch and the analysts have thrown a couple CB’s in for ND. I think Michigan will have something to say about this recruitment before it’s over but ND is in a great spot.

This is all not to say that someone who’s never visited ND might pop in the next few weeks or that Andrew Raym, Lathan Ransom, Jalen McMillan, and the German kid may just say I’ve seen and heard enough and they pop, but I think the next commit comes from the above group with my number one being Rylie Mills committing before Christmas after getting a visit from Brian Kelly sealing the deal.

Already can't wait for this thread to get to the 2nd page so I don't have to worry about someone at work seeing some naked guy on my screen.

Don't act like this isn't an everyday occurrence.

Gotta keep Cody Simon on this list too. I agree that Rylie Mills makes the most sense as next to pop. I would have put Daniel Jackson right there with him but he may have to rehab and be reevaluated first.

Yes I agree with you. If ND goes brother hunting then they’ll be hard to beat with Alaka’i Gilman, Cody Simon, and Max Lenzy. I hope Lenzy gets another couple inches of height cause he’s a good football player.

Yeah I like Lenzy's game. Can't he just be the nickel back?

Yep... Max Lenzy = Michael Love. It's all there but the length.

I'm still on the fence w/ Lil Gilman.

If ur between 5’7”-5’9” which I think Lenzy is, you have to be so damn good. I think he’s a good talent but with a lack of height comes the need for incredible speed, technique and strength in order to break up passes, tackle, etc. I think ND is looking for some bigger dudes right now.

Some 5-9 guys have what it take to excel at ND... like Shaun Crawford. If he was 5-7, he'd be playing for Pelini at YSU, maybe a MAC school. It sounds like Lenzy is that kinda short and he's not the ath that his brother or Crawford are.

Wiltfong dropped CBs for Jordan Johnson and Peter Skoronski to ND in the past week. We just snatched a 2021 OL out of IMG with seemingly legit interest from Alabama. Chris Tyree and Tirek Murphy are coming off great visits. We’ve got a number of big time recruits coming to campus this weekend.

It feels like ND’s recruiting juices are flowing and the levy is going to break soon. So I ask: Who’s next?

I looked at the list from the visits thread and I don’t see any potentials from this weekend but next weekend I’ll go ahead and say that both Mills and Johnson commit shortly after they visit.

Recruiting is going very well right now and I think we are in a very good spot with quite a few of our top targets. However, I'm not sure too many are ready to pop. For example, Jordan Johnson could very well be a silent commit but he's not going public until July.

I'll second Pandfan on this one and say Skoronski. Second guess would be Mills.

Damn, good one. Hadn't look at the visit list before posting, forgot he was this weeken. I'll go Redding, Craig (if it's committable), Skoronski, Mills.

Redding will be Irish. This weekend? Maybe not, but with absolutely no inside info at the time on this one, I'll go Redding with a gut draw.

Johnson and Redding at WR would be pretty special. Redding reminds me of a Chris Brown type of production guy.

Why does everyone think Redding is ready?
Is it because we're his latest visit (this weekend). He's visited PU, Auburn, and FSU this month.

Figured this one would go long with visits to Bama, UGA, Miami, and maybe TN or SC.

I honestly don't know if he's ready and I haven't heard that he is. I just know he's visiting ND this weekend and he is a perfect fit for what ND is looking for and ND fits what he is looking for.

I don't know much about him except he went left the panhandle to play at IMG. At least I think that's where he left (Pensacola). Is he Catholic, or a GPA kid? I'm trying to figure out why folks think he's a great fit.

ISD did an interview with the IMG coach who's always upfront about prospects. Very pro-ND kid.

Jordan Botelho.*

*Assuming the staff doesn’t accept Zack Zinter’s commitment.

Is there talk that they might not accept his commitment at this time? Why would they let him turn around in two weeks when he has a Jun 21st OV scheduled? We've all seen stranger things but Zinter's gotta be the odds on favorite to be the next boomer.
