This happens almost every year. I can't quite figure out why people neglect this information. ND always loses recruits to other schools. They never gain recruits from other schools.

I think KC is a guy the staff would still take. I believe I remember hearing that about the time that B. Smith dropped us.

Mama, McDermott, and maybe 1 or 2 others could be a 5th OL in this class.

Alas, I can't take Loy seriously. His constant shot-in-the-dark predictions and his apparent lack of knowledge of ND makes me think this (along with the RB talk) is just a way for him to get subscriptions.

Both go to Miami Central, first off wow, that much talent at rb at one HS. Second they go to Miami Central and would be shocked if they academically could qualify for ND. Third, Yearby has been committed to FSU, now Miami...doubt he pulls a Gunner.

Yep. So which of those guys has had contact/interest with ND? Anyone know? Only one I know of is Racean Thomas, which is why he was my first guess, but I certainly haven't followed those recruitments closely; we could be attempting to recruit all of them for all I know.

I agree with all this. If I'm skeptical of the suggestion that McDermott will flip, it's just because I think that he will want to stick with Miami, not that we don't want him.

I am pretty sure Pete Sampson and TJ have stated that we would still take KC McDermott and Mama. I still wish he would have taken Dorian Johnson last year. No knock on Byrne or Mustipher but I think Johnson is a better prospect.

He has great relationships with these kids and stays in contact with certain ones more than we know. The reason for posting this isn't to pick a specific player more than to say just because we aren't hearing about it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

My post wasn't directed towards yours just the big picture conversation that just because their aren't rivals and 247 articles about us recruiting them doesn't mean it isn't happening. I personally have no idea who it is and therefore wouldn't rule anybody out.

Roc Thomas would be a long shot for ND IMO. The prevailing thought is he doesn't want to leave the state to play. But boy oh boy... if he ever did and the Irish could somehow get him.
