Who is likely next 2015?

Hell... that's just not a square deal. Washing machines are expensive!

It was a joke on the movie Semi-Pro. If you haven't noticed, I send my jokes to all, and if it lands on 3% of the audience, I'm happy, lol.

Biggest news is that they don't expect McKinney in the class unfortunately.

Also, good news on Bivin. He should be fine going forward.

Damn, did they say if he'll be able to qualify anywhere? I saw some rumblings at 247 that he might need work to just to pass NCAA standards.

I've been banging on this drum for awhile now. I haven't read Intel and I don't know if he has a final shot to magically increase his test scores but yeah, it's not good. Sucks because he's a desperate need and was a heck of a prospect.

So we are losing McKinney? One of the key pieces in this class?

What about the Reid kid who is a PSU commit? Any chance we can get back into it?

Per II, a name to watch for is Jalen Julius. He is teammates with Dexter Williams and was once committed to Florida as a defensive back. Notre Dame likes him on offense and would try to get him in this class. Potentially visiting January 16th with Williams.

I'll also had that if he doesn't visit on the 16th, he probably won't visit at all

No, that's not happening. He is a CB anyway, and we are decently stocked there (and I always thought he was a bit overrated) - what we need desperately are Safeties. We really need to land at least one more, hopefully two.

I would love it if we get Jennings as an athlete and then one more true safety to add to this class.

Still surprised we didn't offer Drue's little brother Justin. I think he could be pretty good at S.

I'm 99% sure if he didn't tear up his knee and had had a great senior season he'd be getting an emergency offer right about now. Could provide depth at either S or RB.

Too small. I liked him as well, but as a NB/ Z WR/ ST ace. Now, with our scholarship crunch, desperate need for true half-field Safeties, and Justin's ACL injury, he just doesn't fit the bill.

I'm not, just because we need bodies, doesn't mean that we need to go that low.

No offense to the kid, but he is a poor man's version of Nicco, who is a poor man's version of Barratti, who is a poor man's version of Motta, who is a poor man's version of Harrison Smith.

We need more Harrison Smiths....

Had we not signed up Nicco and had he not torn his ACL, it could have happened.

A lot of that makes no sense because the guys are nothing alike...except that they are white.

Expand please?

To me, they are all hard hitting safeties that project better as run stoppers than in coverage (although Smith proved to be good in coverage as well). On each level, I use the "poor man" analogy as each guy is less in talent and/or size.

and they're all honkies

On the recruiting front, Tiassum also spoke very highly of a uncommitted California safety, much like CJ Sanders and Micah Dew-Treadway did. Tiassum explained why he feels the prospect could be a great fit in the class. There was also one other player that got the Notre Dame pitch from the #ShamrockSoldiers15 last week.
We tried to recruit a lot of players out at the Semper Fi game,” explained Tiassum. “There were certain guys that showed a lot more interest in Notre Dame. Frank Buncom IV, he’s considering us and we spent a lot of time with him. He fits in well with us and you couldn’t even tell he was a recruit. He had that brotherly connection with us. We talked to John Humphrey a lot and we will see what he does.

I think Bilal could get moved to safety if it becomes an issue. Played at Safety for his High school team at times and looked good.

Bilal looks very well put together. I hope he can stay at LB. SPEED.

ACCORDING to his coach, this is what he has been pegged for and has been told by coaches he will start out as

Really? Well BK and staff have done an excellent job at making position changes for players (KVR and Niklas) so I'm not gonna disagree with their decision if he moves to safety.

Only thing that I can think of that could negatively effect a switch to safety is if he adds too much weight, which is what I think happened to Drue

Well this changes our outlook at the LB position this class.

But the story of this game was the Ben Davis defense, and the headliners were Bilal and Stringer. Bilal's inclusion is no surprise, though his position was. Bilal, considered one of the top outside linebackers in the country, played the entire game at safety. At times he was so close to the line of scrimmage that I never noticed it, but I had the good fortune of riding the postgame elevator from the press box to the field level with Ben Davis defensive coordinator Scott Williams, who said the staff moved Bilal to safety for the rematch of a game in which Carmel ran for more than 400 yards in a 37-14 win in October.

"Shows how smart we are," Williams told me. "Maybe we should've had him at safety all season. He'll play safety at Notre Dame, too. He'll be a great one."

I think we're set at the linebacker position for the next 2 years so I think we can afford to move Bilal.

Jaylon has his spot locked up for the next 2 seasons, Joe still has another year, Nyles showed a lot of promise when he was given a chance, and I thought Drue was the most impressive freshman this year. And the chances that one of Coney and Barajas emerges as a freshman are pretty high IMO

YUP! And that doesn't include Grace coming back from injury. Up until the bowl practices I didn't think he would ever come back but then the praise he got during those practices, you never know. Grace was the starter before Schmidt but then Schmidt earns MVP honors. Add in 5 Star Morgan and all of a sudden MLB seems stacked with talent and experience.
