Interesting, you really think he is that much of a flight risk? I like Bilal a lot, but I put him in that Irish Chocolate camp where he seems to march to the beat of his own drum.

Yes. I know he's a Gator fan, but Muschamp has proven incapable of producing even a bare modicum of offensive competence, which is why his seat is among the hottest in the nation right now. Despite that, and the clear juxtaposition of ND's righteous national ascendance, Coney is still torn. Which tells me that his Gator loyalty either runs really deep, or he doesn't really get ND. Probably some mix of the two.

Regardless, Florida kids are automatically a high transfer risk due to climate and culture shock. Toss in Coney's strange hesitance, and he immediately becomes one of our most tenuous recruits. If I'm BvG, I'm only accepting his verbal once Kirkland and Bilal are emphatically out of the picture.

If we truly are only taking one more LB this cycle I really hope that it is Bilal. He's to athletic to pass on IMO and Barajas can play MLB.

If we have to choose between Coney and Kirkland though I'd choose Kirkland not just because he's from Indiana, but because he's committed to Michigan. Fuck Michigan.

Couldn't the same be said for Bilal? Michigan is much more of a dumpster fire than Florida is right now, and Bilal still cannot decide between us and them.

I might be wrong, but Bilal's hesitance just feels different to me. He's a unique kid. And even if his hesitance is the result of deep-seated loyalty to the Wolverines, as a local kid with excellent academic credentials, there are no concerns about culture or climate shock. If he verbals, he's unarguably more likely to stick than Coney.

My bold prediction will be Mekhi Brown, if, we pull off the upset in Tallahassee. I think he wouldn't be able to stand it, and would have to flip. Otherwise SoSo and ESB.

I don't believe one game will impact Brown for the next four years

Per 247, three of our top five verbals de-committed and chose ND. The ND bag men get the job done again and the trend continues. Alize makes it four of six.

Well, I guess as of right now Coney looks like the most likely, and I am alright with that. Hope he picks us, and I hope he sticks to it.

Greg Bryant can help him get through the home-sickness. We need fast pass rushers from the south! C'mon Coney!

I am going Coney next week, then an Alize flip at the Banquet. Unless ESB gets pressure, I dont think he decides till the end. Same with Soso.

Sounds about right with Coney and Alize. But I think Soso decides earlier and we get at least one more before the banquet.

ESB, Soso, Coney, Bilal, Alize, Marshall, Gallimore

Scratch Bilal...appears he is IRISH!!! Coney and Soso next followed by Alize and ESB in December or on Signing Day. IF we can get Marshall on campus for a visit we still have a chance...

I thought Soso was announcing in Oct?

Last I saw was within a month and that was 2 days ago. He's been consistently pushing his decision back, so who knows.

His time table is slightly fluid and he said he will end it when he ends it IIRC. There are reports he is taking more visits as well I believe.

Forgive me if i missed it...

Okay, let's assume we take/get Coney...

How many spots do we really have left?

This One Foot Down article from July states there is room for 29 recruits + 5th year seniors. It doesn't count Mahone so I think that number should still be good (except it doesn't include Van Gorder as a schollie). I believe we have 20 verbals right now.

I added Williams to their potential 5Y list:

QB Golson
OL Martin
WR Daniels
LB Grace
LB Councell
DE Springmann
DE Williams
OL Hanratty
OL Hegarty
WR Carlisle
LB Schmidt
CB Farley
DE Hounshell
S Hardy
CB Brown
DE Rabasa

EDIT: Baratti's health may also impact this number

Springmann retired from football before the season so he's out.
