The more I think/post about it and after seeing some of WMU's games and seeing that article, the more I want Fleck over any other option. I'm with you guys.

The dude is forthcoming about his marital issues, and the gossip about hooking up with trainers or whatever is well-known enough that it's not gonna be an embarassing scandal if ND hires him (whereas hiring a dude that lies on his resume would haha).

He's the complete opposite of BK in terms of personality, which I think this team (and University) need right now. BK's business-as-usual attitude doesn't tie into the mystique and prestige of the University.

You gotta get a guy who's gonna get these kids all jacked up and emotionally charged for 3 hours every Saturday, a guy that's gonna get them bought in, a guy that's gonna sprint out of the tunnel with them and get them ready to wake up the goddamn echoes by verbally and emotionally shaking down the thunder.

"Stone-faced Businessman" is not an attitude that matches the spiritual connection, and thus the spiritual advantages, that ND affords.

I honestly could totally see this. Let's fire my good buddy only after being forced to do so then let a qualified DC head up the interim, and then hire my long time buddy who is LB coach, never been a DC and who is our top recruiting ace, so that with his new found DC duties can't spend time recruiting. Because ND DC's don't recruit under BK.
