I had the Switch with me, but things moved too quickly to have a chance at getting it out. Then once the baby was born, it was “take a nap and enjoy the quiet” whenever the nurses weren’t in the room hovering about lol

This is wisdom. First baby? You keep him near you all night long, regardless of how exhausted you are. Fourth baby? Go have fun with the nurses, little guy. Mom and I are going to nap now, because we don't have paid babysitters at home.

I get that Witchers are supposed to have their emotions killed off and all that, but Geralt's monotonous voice just kills the dialogue for me as the main protagonist. Doesn't matter what situation he's in, whether he's wooing a tavern slut or fighting a vampire, he just brings the scene down. Eskel, Lambert, even Vesemir have more emotion than Geralt. I'm hoping in the next one you play strictly as Ciri tbh, she's like a breath of fresh air. The rest of the characters are great imo, although Yen can be a bit of a downer herself which makes scenes with Geralt really...really....boring. Unless they're screwing on a unicorn of course, cause that's something they seem to enjoy doing. Triss seems like such a better foil for Geralt, I put the two of them together instead. She's so much more upbeat and enjoyable, and Geralt just seems somewhat happier when he's talking with her.

I’ve been rolling a bit but sure stumbled out the block,… I didn’t know or just forgot you had to equip items so at first I was getting murdered by slimes…

I absolutely loved going back and seeing Alefgard in 2 and 3 for the first time. Loved to see how the games tied back into each other and how the ending to 3 setup the beginning of 1. I wish the 4-6 trilogy did more of that, but the worlds only had some minor similarities and only one real similar location in the Zenethian tower.

DW5 is really good if you've never played it, great story that can tug on the heart strings. I'd suggest getting the Nintendo DS rerelease as it's supposed to be better than the fan translated SNES version, but I played the fan translated one and it was still very good. 4 is pretty decent too of course, a huge step up for the series, while 6 is kind of up and down.

Beat DW2 just now,… not much of an ending compared to the grind the game was,… DW1 had a better ending imo but it was fun. I beat the three sub bosses then left, healed and came back,… beat Hargon in like two rounds and then the last boss I wasn’t expecting took out the Prince and Princess,… my character was down to his last hit and I was ready to have to restart when my last attack killed him.

On to Dragon Warrior 3 now

2 is definitely a slog, nice work in that bitch of a final region. I fought 3 much more enjoyable, and 4 even more than that (Although 4 being part of it's own trilogy and not tied to Alefgard or the other kingdoms in 2 was kind of a bummer).

The patch from the final save to Hargons castle was more difficult than the castle itself really ,… the hardest part for me was the last cave of Rhône,… dude the pitfalls!!! It took me forever!!!

Yup, I died a lot from the final save to Hargons. Just endless waves of enemies with 1 hit Death/KO abilities. Needed so much luck or make quick work of them.

-FIFA kind of filled the void for me when NCAA died,… the youth development was the only thing close to recruiting etc,…
-So I’ve never been offered a beta test( that I’m aware of anyway) for a new game.

Two nights back I’m telling my wife how until EA gets full Scottish rights or at least gets Celtic park in the game I’m done with FIFA, especially with NCAA coming back next year…. I’m at peace.

In bed last night and checking my email on my phone before bed and there it is,… a beta code for FIFA 23,… lol fuckin bastards

My boys are finally old enough to play my favorites. It's been very rewarding. Apparently having a dad who can school their friends at their favorite games is good for street cred. All those hours finally paying off!

So I have finally gotten around to having some time to fire up a new game and I was tempted to go for AC Black Flag. Instead, I decided to go with Origins. The main reason is I have been waiting for the past couple of years to play Skull and Bones which comes out in November and didn't want to get burnt out by playing back-to-back pirate games by Ubisoft...

Anyways, wish me luck on the journey. Origins finished downloading while I'm at work so I will start when I get home. Cheers.
