Toad has the voice of an angel. That dude does not.
I haven't gotten to Cuphead yet... is it safe to assume that Switch is the way to go for that one?
Thanks, that's what I figured.Yes. I've played through a bunch of indie hits on the Switch, and I never got the impression that any of them would be better experienced on PC or a beefier console.
It's going $30 on Black Friday so definitely at the top of the list.Mario Tennis is a super fun family game once everyone gets a hold of the power shots and curves... at first it's a very basic tennis game.
Has anyone gotten far on Death Stranding?
Just started playing last night. I think I like it, though I'm just barely skimming the surface so we'll see. I've made two deliveries outside the prologue.
Forgive my oft ignorant butt... is death stranding a purely online experience???
No, though it's best experienced online. You don't ever really interact with anyone. Basically people leave things behind in their game and it shows up in your game, and you can use it as help. As an example, in one of my first deliveries I had to cross a deep river. I found a ladder going across the river, used it, and was able to get across much easier thanks to this traveler I'll never meet. Later on, I used a ladder in a similar way, and decided to leave it behind instead of picking it up. "Pay it forward" is a major mechanic of the game.
Returning from deployment here soon and will probably just download Madden and play ultimate team to pass the time.
Going to be getting my daughter a switch for Christmas... Any great game suggestions for a 10yo girl. Thanks in advance!
Nice. "Two deliveries"?
Hmm, personally bummed to hear this. Do you think it's worth playing if you do not play online? I've never done the PS4 online fee and I wouldn't just because I get ~1 game per year and I don't love multiplayer games.

No, it's primarily an offline multiplayer split-screen couch co-op game.Forgive my oft ignorant butt... is death stranding a purely online experience???
I was under the impression that the Splatoon 2 lobbies have been empty ever since Nintendo Online went to a paid subscription model. Is that not the case?My girls love Mario Maker and Luigi's Mansion currently... splatoon too... hope you have a get homecoming bkess!!!
No, it's primarily an offline multiplayer split-screen couch co-op kart racer.
You're a post apocalyptic mail man where you hike across rough terrain carrying heavy boxes and trying not to fall over. The game is exactly what that sentence sounds like. Very little action from the *extremely small* amount I've played. There's some stealth from Lovecraftian monsters but it's very different from a Metal Gear game. I enjoyed what I played of it last night because it felt very "zen." It's the digital game equivalent of seeing how long you can keep a beach ball bouncing without it hitting the ground. I can definitely see a lot of people disliking it though.
EDIT: I should add I also love Kojima so I'm happy to see his particular quirks in the story. He's so bad at dialogue but so good at getting feelings and using images for emotional effect. I get great enjoyment from the feelings and greater enjoyment from making fun of his terrible dialogue. There's a man named "Dead Man", and you're like "that's dumb." Then you get introduced to "Die-Hard Man", and you're like "that's dumb but also hilarious."
Probably not to be honest. I think the sense of "community" that the game is going for is one of the major pillars of the entire experience.

Ugh, thanks. I'll have to rethink because I just don't get online. I may pivot and go after The Last of us 2.
Thanks for the input, I'll have to think about this.
Side Note - I thought the dialouge in MG3 (Jungle) was really good. Others not so much.
Has anyone plays The Last of us 2?
On a scale of 1 to "lock me in the basement and tape my eye lids open", how is it?
If I can be picky, consider the fact I do not play online, and just want the good ole fashioned single player experience.
It was one of the best single player games of the last console generation.
Whoa...
Edit: Im confused. Says it releases 5/2020 for PS4.... what year are you living in?
Did anyone play "Days gone"?
Thanks, that's what I figured.
Now I just need to decide if I want a Switch Lite for Christmas or if I should beef up my games library instead.
